Permanently Reassign Jobs in Bulk

It's easier than ever to permanently reassign jobs on daily routes. This is especially helpful when staff members leave or change roles in your company, or you are shuffling jobs across existing routes to better balance drive time, distance, and number of stops.

In the case of repeat jobs in particular, this new feature is a huge timesaver. Until today, to permanently reassign a repeat job series, you had to open, edit, and save each repeat job series one-by-one. If you have 30, 50, 90 repeat jobs on a route, as we've heard from customers, this takes FOREVER. Forever is a long time! Reassigning jobs in bulk will now take minutes instead of hours.

Here's a preview of this new experience:

  1. Navigate to the schedule (week, day, or list views)
  2. Locate the daily route that needs to be reassigned
  3. Hover over the ellipsis button (...)
  4. Click Reassign from the list of options that appear

  5. Choose a new date for the jobs (or leave the date the same)

  6. Select new users to assign the jobs and destinations to
    1. Quick tip: Check the Apply This Driver to All Jobs and Destinations checkbox to save even more time

  7. For repeat jobs: decide if this change should take effect for...
    1. Only this job or,
    2. This and All Following Jobs

  8. Click Reassign

That's it! Instead of having to open each job one-by-one, ServiceCore handles the job reassignments in a matter of seconds. You can even move the jobs to "Unassigned" and assign them to a driver or technician at a later time.

Monthly Repeat Job Intervals

If you have jobs that repeat on a monthly basis, you can now choose more specific intervals when creating and scheduling these jobs.

New capabilities include the ability to:

  • Choose the day of the week
  • Choose the week of the month (first, second, etc.)

This way, you can avoid any jobs landing on the weekend, and have more control over what part of the month your jobs are scheduled. This increased flexibility should help improve route planning and balancing routes across drivers and technicians.

Edit Sites from Jobs

We have added a quick edit link to the site section of jobs. Whether you're on the schedule, and need to quickly update a site's latitude or longitude. Or you're on a job details page, or job list, and need to add the gate code or site contact number. You can make site edits quickly and easily, without leaving the page you're on.

Here's what this new feature looks like:

View Rentals from the Schedule

You can now easily view rental details, without leaving the schedule. View delivery and pick-up information, inventory on the rental, site and customer information, as well as the latest billing information, all without leaving the page you're on.

To use this new feature, simply click on the rental number when you're looking at a job details page, and the rental details page will open in a new tab/window in your browser.
