An Aging report is a powerful financial tool that provides businesses with a snapshot of their accounts receivable or payable.
This report helps organizations monitor their cash flow, evaluate their financial health, and track outstanding payments. The Aging report shows how long invoices or bills have been outstanding, allowing businesses to prioritize their collection efforts or payment schedules. This report is particularly useful for companies that have payment terms, enabling them to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate action.

How to Use the Aging Report
To access the Aging Report, follow these steps:
- From your ServiceCore Dashboard, click "Reports"
- Click on the "View Report" button for the Aging Report
- Use the "As Of" filter to specify a date. Learn more About Date Filters here.
- Use the "Customer Search" filter to look up specific customers.
- Use the "Customer Name" filter to further specify customers.

Contains: This filter retrieves customer names that contain a specific sequence of characters. For example, if you search for "John" using the "Contains" filter, it will return names like "John Smith" or "Jonathan Johnson."

Does not contain: This filter excludes customer names that contain a specific sequence of characters. For instance, if you search for "Doe" using the "Does not contain" filter, it will exclude names like "John Doe" or "Jane Doe."

Starts with: This filter retrieves customer names that begin with a specific sequence of characters. For example, if you search for "Joh" using the "Starts with" filter, it will return names like "John Smith" or "John Doe."

Does not start with: This filter excludes customer names that start with a specific sequence of characters. For instance, if you search for "Joh" using the "Does not start with" filter, it will exclude names like "John Smith" or "John Doe."

Ends with: This filter retrieves customer names that end with a specific sequence of characters. For example, if you search for "son" using the "Ends with" filter, it will return names like "Jackson" or "Anderson."

Does not end with: This filter excludes customer names that end with a specific sequence of characters. For instance, if you search for "son" using the "Does not end with" filter, it will exclude names like "Jackson" or "Anderson."

Like: This filter allows you to search for customer names using wildcard characters. For example, if you search for "Jhn" using the "Like" filter, it will return names like "John Smith" or "Jonathan Johnson," where the asterisk () represents any number of characters.

Not like: This filter excludes customer names that match a specific pattern using wildcard characters. For instance, if you search for "J*hn" using the "Not like" filter, it will exclude names like "John Smith" or "Jonathan Johnson."

- Use the "Aging Bucket" filter to specify which aging periods you'd like to see.
- Use the "Total Aging Amount" to filter out the aging report by specific minimum and maximum transaction amounts.
- Use the "Type" filter to specify which kinds of transactions you'd like to see.
- Use the "Customer Is Active?" filter to specify active and inactive customers.
- Use the "Division" filter to narrow down the results by division.
Sending or Printing Statements via the Aging Report
The Aging Report includes a convenient Statements feature that allows you to easily print or email statements to all your customers. The statements will be sent or printed to customers listed in the "Balances by Customer" section of the report. Before sending them out, remember to set your filters accordingly so that you target the correct customers.
To email statements for your customers:
- Utilize the different filters at your disposal to refine your customer selection, focusing solely on those you wish to email a statement to.
- Hover your mouse cursor over the "Send Statements" section.
- Click on the "Click to Send Statements" link.
- This will open up a new tab with a landing page asking you to "Review Your Statements Summary"
- Once you've reviewed the statements summary, click "Send Now."
To print statements for your customers:
- Utilize the different filters at your disposal to refine your customer selection, focusing solely on those you wish to print a statement for.
- Hover your mouse cursor over the "Print Statements" section.
- Click on the "Click to Print Statements" link.
- This will open up a new tab with a landing page asking you to "Review Your Statements Summary"
- Once you've reviewed the statements summary, click "Send Now."
- Check your email for an email from no-reply@servicecore.com with the subject: "Batch Statements."
- Download and print the attached PDF document.
How to Export the Aging Report
If you'd like to export the report into a CSV or Excel file, follow these steps:
- Make sure you've set up any filters to narrow results down to just the data you would like to see.
- Scroll down to the "Balances by Customer" portion of the report.
- Hover over any area in the Details portion of the report to bring up the (additional menu name thing here)
- Click on the 3 Vertical Dots
- Hover over the "Download >" option.
- Select your preferred file type.
- A download will appear with your selected file.
