Schedule Views Overview

The Schedule page in ServiceCore is where dispatchers manage and review upcoming work. It provides a clear view of scheduled jobs and tools to organize technician assignments, adjust schedules, and optimize routes.

The Schedule can be viewed in different ways depending on your workflow. You may want a broad view of the week, focus on today’s jobs, scan assignments in a list, or see routes on a map.

Before You Start

Here are a few things to know before you continue:

  • Schedule views are sticky, meaning the last view that you select will remain your default for when you leave and return to the Schedule page.
  • Schedule view settings only apply to your user profile. Other users can choose different views without affecting your setup.
  • Filters are available in every view to help you narrow down to the jobs you want to see. To learn more about filtering your Schedule, please review this article.
  • To see if you have access to the Schedule page in ServiceCore, please check out this article on user permission levels.

Schedule Views

The Schedule can be viewed in four different ways:

  • Week View
  • Day View
  • List View
  • Map View

Each view presents the same scheduled jobs but organizes the information differently. Choosing the right view can make it easier to manage technician workloads, plan routes, or review job details.

You can switch between views at any time by selecting the corresponding view button at the top-right of the Schedule page.

Week View

The Week view shows all jobs scheduled across a seven day period for each technician. This view provides a broad picture of upcoming work and is helpful when planning the week ahead.

Dispatchers often use Week view to review technician workloads, check availability for additional jobs, and confirm recurring services appear on the schedule as expected. Since several days are visible at once, it also makes it easier to balance work across the team.

Day View

The Day view focuses on jobs scheduled for a single day. This view is commonly used during the workday when dispatchers need to stay focused on current operations.

It helps when monitoring technician progress, responding to schedule changes, or reassigning jobs. Viewing only one day at a time keeps the schedule simple and makes it easier to manage updates as they happen.

List View

The List view presents scheduled jobs in a simple vertical list grouped by technician. Instead of a calendar layout, jobs appear in a straightforward format that highlights key details such as customer name, address, and job number.

This view is useful when quickly reviewing assignments or scanning job information. Many users also prefer List view when working on smaller screens because the layout is easier to read without navigating across a wider schedule grid.

Map View

The Map view displays scheduled jobs as pins on a map, allowing you to see where work is located. Each technician’s route is color-coded, which makes it easier to understand how jobs are distributed geographically.

Day Map View

The Day Map view shows all jobs scheduled for a single day on the map. This view helps dispatchers visualize technician routes, identify jobs that may add extra travel time, and look for opportunities to group nearby jobs together. It is often used when reviewing or adjusting routes for the current day.

Week Map View

The Week Map view displays all jobs scheduled across a full week on the map. This broader view helps when reviewing how jobs are distributed geographically over multiple days and can help with planning routes or scheduling work in specific areas.
