The items mentioned below will be available on or after October 3, 2024. To see these new features, please perform a hard refresh in your browser and update your mobile app to the latest version (9.4.31). Here's how to Get the Latest Version of ServiceCore.
Mobile App Home Page Updates
With this release, we are excited to bring you a refreshed homepage/schedule experience in the Mobile App. We have made three main updates: we have updated the data displayed in the job cards on the schedule, we have moved the Hide Completed Jobs toggle behind the ellipsis menu in the upper right hand corner, and we have added "Get Directions" as an option in the Actions menu.
We refreshed the styles on the Homepage, bringing a more modern look and feel to the ServiceCore app. You will see these kinds of changes applied across the mobile app. We took this opportunity to evaluate that data was displayed and the order it was presented. We felt it most valuable to present data to drivers that answers the following questions: what job am I doing? when am I doing this job (if applicable), where is this job? and finally for whom am I doing this job?
There are 2 sets of conditions for data display to be aware. If you give a job a Job Name, we will display the Job Name, if not, we will display the Job ID. Likewise, if a Site has a Site Name, we will display the Site Name, if not we will display the Site ID.
To allow for more space on the screen to display jobs and job data, we have moved the "Hide Completed Jobs" toggle behind the ... menu in the top right corner of the screen. Following the same behavior, this toggle defaults to On (hiding completed jobs).
Lastly, we have added "Get Directions" to the Actions button at the bottom of the Homepage. Previously you have needed to go to the Job Details page, tap on the ... menu in the top right and then select "Get Directions". You can now tap the Actions button and then "Get Directions" or "Get Directions and Send ETA text" (if Pro Messaging is enabled) to get directions to the first, non-completed job or destination on the schedule. After selecting "Get Directions", users on iOS will be presented an option to get directions from Apple Maps or Google Maps and Android users will be directly navigated to Google Maps.
You are only able to get directions for Today. If you are on a navigated to a different day, or want to get directions to a job that is not the next job, you can still get directions from the Job Details page.
