Deactivate a Customer

ServiceCore offers the ability to deactivate a customer. This action will remove the customer from your activated customer list and will freeze their account to prevent any new job or invoice creation for the customer. 

To deactivate a customer, follow these steps:

  1. Open the customer tab
  2. Click View Customer
  3. Click Edit Customer Details
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Deactivate this customer

What situations might I deactivate a customer in ServiceCore?

Here are a few examples of situations that you might deactivate a customer in ServiceCore:

  1. You may want to deactivate a customer if you have a customer duplicate. It is important to find the customer profile with the most relevant information before deactivating the duplicate profile.

  2. You may have a good reason to "freeze" a customer's account from new jobs and invoices.

  3. You may need to archive a customer profile.

How do I find deactivated customers?

Open the customer tab, click the filter button and check the box next to "show inactive customers".

Can I reactivate a customer?

Yes, Open the customer tab, click the filter button, check the box next to "show inactive customers" and click "reactivate customer" on the right side of the customer row.
