Assign Services to Inventory Products

If you rent out your products to customers, it is important to have the correct services assigned so your billing is accurate. 

Services you add to your account can be assigned to your inventory products. Once assigned, these services can be selected as a rental rate for the product on a rental. Rental rates track how much you charge for each product and automatically update quantities on invoices whenever units are added or removed.

Before You Start

Here are a few things to know before you continue:

• Products, either itemized or non-itemized, should already be added to your account so that they can be assigned services.
• Services should already be added to your account so that they can be assigned to products.
• To see if you have access to edit products to assign services, please review this article on user permission levels.

Assign Services to a Product

To assign a service to a product, follow these steps:

1. Click your name in the top right corner.
2. Select “Settings.”
3. Click “Inventory.”
4. Select “Products.”

5. Click the “View” button in line with a product. 

   
   
    

6. Click the “Services” tab.
7. Click the down arrow next to “Add Service.”

8. Select “Assign Services.”

   
   
    

9. In the pop-up that appears, find and check the box(es) next to the service(s) you would like to assign.
   • TIP: You can assign multiple services to the product at the same time.

10.  Click the “Assign Services” button to save your selections.

    
    

Once assigned, the services will appear in the Services tab of the product’s details page, where you can filter, search, and view assigned services at any time.
