Unique Product Names

Inventory products will now be required to have unique names. That means that you'll no longer run into a situation where two products have the same name, and you don't know which PT or PT or PT to choose. A few things to keep in mind:

  • If all of your inventory products already have unique names, you don't need to do anything
  • If some of your products share the same name, when you go to edit a product, you will need to choose a unique name for that product

Improvements

  • Rental Jobs: If you add a delivery or pick-up job to an existing rental, on the inventory table where you choose products to manage on the rental, you will now be able to search, sort and filter the list of products.
  • Rental Rates: Rental Rates on rentals will now display in alphabetical order.
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO) Per-Item Sync: As a ServiceCore user that is syncing with QuickBooks online, your data (except for invoices, payments, credit memos and refunds) will now import from QBO and therefore sync both ways via per-item sync.
  • Accounting Transactions Without Services: We now required that any accounting transaction that uses service lines items must have at least one service before it can be created. This includes when you create or edit any of the following:
    • Invoices
    • Recurring Invoices
    • Estimates
    • Credit Memos
    • Refunds
