With a few taps, the ServiceCore Mobile App makes quick work of completing a job. View driving directions, see what services need to be performed, associate inventory, scan barcodes, get a signature, and send a job completion email are all possible. And the best part, completing a job can be done while offline, when your technicians are outside cellular and Wifi coverage areas.

Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you complete any type of job using the ServiceCore Mobile App:
- You must have the ServiceCore Mobile App installed on your mobile device
- For Android devices: Download on Google play
- For iOS or Apple devices: Download on the App Store
- All users must have a ServiceCore account in order to login to the Mobile App
- App permissions must be turned on for:
- Camera
- Storage
- Your Location
- Only scheduled users will be able to complete jobs using the Mobile App
- Technicians can only see jobs assigned to themselves on the Mobile App
- Technicians cannot see "Unassigned" jobs, or jobs assigned to other technicians
- If you might leave cell phone or Wifi coverage while completing jobs, please read over offline mode FAQs so you understand when and how offline mode works
- Your technicians should download their inventory before leaving cell phone or Wifi coverage, by following the steps in this article: Manage Inventory While Offline Using the Mobile App
- All itemized inventory that uses barcodes or QR codes has been scanned and added, by following these steps to associate barcodes and QR codes to inventory items
- Site contacts and notes are not available in offline mode
- Once a job has been started and is in progress, it cannot be paused or stopped, it can only be completed
- To "reset" a job so it can be started again, this can only be completed using the ServiceCore web app
- If you need to capture a customer signature on a job, the job must have a disclaimer (this field cannot be blank when creating a job using the ServiceCore Web App)
- Jobs with customers signatures cannot be edited after they are completed
For Rental Jobs
If your technicians perform rental jobs using the Mobile App, please make sure:
- Your technicians download their inventory before leaving cell phone or Wifi coverage, by following the steps in this article: Manage Inventory While Offline Using the Mobile App

Follow these steps to start and complete a job using the ServiceCore Mobile App:
Login
First step: log in! Here's how:
- Launch the ServiceCore mobile app on your phone or tablet
- Log in with your Email address and Password
- If you would like to use your Touch ID / Face ID for future times you login, tap Yes on the alert message that appears. If not, tap No.
- Wait while the app builds your profile
Download Inventory
If you are a rental company, follow the steps below, if not, skip to Start Job and Get Directions:
- In the header, tap on the menu icon (three stacked lines, aka the hamburger icon) in the upper left corner of the screen
- In the menu that appears, tap Inventory
- Tap the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner
- Tap Download Inventory
- Tap Download Now in the pop-up that appears
- Wait while your inventory downloads
- In the header, tap on the menu icon in the upper left corner of the screen
- Tap on My Schedule from the list of options that appear
Start Job and Get Directions
After logging, and downloading inventory, you're ready to start a job by following these steps:
- On the schedule, locate the job you want to start
- Tap on the Job you want to start
- Tap Start Job at the bottom of the screen if you want the job completion time to include drive time
- You will see the top of the screen turn green and show the job start time
- Tap Get Directions
- Follow any prompts that your device shows to open your default map or navigation application
- Navigate and drive to the job site
- If you haven't done so already, tap on Start Job (drive time will not be included in the job completion time if you tap Start Job once you arrive on site)
Review Job Details
Before you start work on the job, you can review the following sections for important job-related information and notes. The upper part of the job shows you:

- Attachments
- Tap on the (+) icon to view the attachments on this job
- Tap on the file name to download and view the attachment
- Once you're ready, perform the services for this job as you normally would
- Tap on the (+) icon to view the attachments on this job
- Customer information including company name, contact name, customer name, email, phone, and division
- Tap the Phone icon to call the site contact phone number

Manage Inventory
Delivery Jobs
If this is a delivery job, follow these steps to properly manage inventory on a job:
- If this is a rental job, you will see an Inventory section
- Tap on the (+) icon to view inventory
- For each product you will see the Qty of items that should be delivered
- If you inventory is not itemized, you can skip to Record Condition and Usage
For Itemized Inventory with Barcodes or QR Codes
If any of your inventory uses barcodes or QR codes, follow these steps:
- Tap on the barcode icon
- Scan the barcode or QR code
- Wait for the scan to finish
- You will see the item you scan listed in the inventory section, with a GPS timestamp (scanning the barcode automatically captures the GPS location of the unit)
- Repeat scanning any additional units
For Itemized Inventory Without Barcodes or QR Codes
If any of your inventory is itemized, and does not have barcodes or QR codes (serial numbers only), follow these steps:
- Tap on the magnifying glass icon for the product
- At the top of the screen you will see how many items you can select for this rental
- Below that you will see a list of serial numbers
- Choose the correct barcode(s) from the list, or enter a number or letter into the search box to narrow the list of results
- Select the barcode(s) of the correct items
- Scroll down and tap the Add Selected Items button at the bottom of the screen
- To record the GPS coordinates of an item, tap on the GPS (map marker) icon for that item
- Wait for the app to finish locating the GPS coordinates
- Repeat searching for barcodes and selecting items for the rest of the itemized inventory on this rental job
Service and Pick-Up Jobs
Follow these steps to manage inventory for service or pick-up jobs:
- Go to the Inventory section
- Tap on the (+) icon to view inventory
- For each product you will see the items that should be serviced or picked up
- If you inventory is not itemized, you can skip to Record Condition and Usage
Get Directions to Items
For any items that have GPS coordinates, you can get driving directions to this item. This feature allows you to drive to each toilet, even if one toilet is at one end of the beach, and a second toilet is at the other end of the beach. To use this feature, follow these steps:
- In the header, tap on the menu icon (three stacked lines, aka the hamburger icon) in the upper left corner of the screen
- In the menu that appears, tap Inventory
- Search for the serial number
- Tap on the item to view the item details page
- Scroll down and tap Get Directions
- Once you've located the item, you can return to the job by tapping on the menu icon (three stacked lines, aka the hamburger icon) in the upper left corner of the screen
- Tap My Schedule
- Tap on the job
Update GPS for Itemized Inventory with Barcodes or QR Codes
If any of your inventory uses barcodes or QR codes, follow these steps:
- Tap on the barcode icon
- Scan the barcode or QR code
- Wait for the scan to finish
- You will see the item you scan with an updated GPS timestamp (scanning the barcode automatically captures the GPS location of the unit)
- Repeat scanning any additional units
Update GPS for Itemized Inventory without Barcodes or QR Codes
If any of your itemized inventory doesn't have barcodes or QR codes, follow these steps:
- Tap on the map pin icon for the item you want to update GPS coordinates
- Wait for the GPS coordinates to update
- Repeat scanning any additional units
Record Condition and Usage
- To record the condition and usage of any item, tap on the item serial number
- On the Update item screen, type in any notes about the item's Condition
- Tap on the Usage field
- Choose the Usage (light, medium, heavy)
- Tap Ok
- Tap Save
- Repeat the steps above to record condition and usages for any other items
Complete Job
Once the job is done, you're ready to complete the job by following the steps below.
- Tap Complete Job at the bottom of the screen
Enter Job Completion Details
- Enter the job completion Status (Complete, Partial Service, Unable to Service)
- Tap Ok
- Fill out the rest of the fields in this upper section (you will see different fields if this is a rental or a non-rental job)
- Enter any job completion notes (if available, you can use the voice or speech recorder function on your device to type out comments for you)
Add, Edit, or Remove Services
To add any additional services performed on this job, follow these steps:
- Scroll to the Services section
- Tap the + Add Service button
- Enter in a number or letter in the search box to search for services
- Tap on the service you want to add
- Add or edit the description of the service (optional)
- To edit the quantity of services performed, tap the Qty field and enter in the correct number
- To remove a service, tap the trash can icon
Add Attachments (Take Photos)
If you would like to add any photos to this job upon completion, follow these steps:
- Scroll to the Attachments section
- Tap on Take Photo
- Wait for the camera screen to appear
- Take the photo by tapping on your devices camera or "take photo" icon or button
- If you're happy with the photo, tap Ok
- Take additional photos by tapping the Take Photo button again
Capture Customer Signature
If your job has a disclaimer, then you will have the option to capture a customer signature. To do this, follow these steps:
- Scroll to the Disclaimer section
- Show the disclaimer to your customer on your device screen
- Scroll to the Customer Signature section
- Tap Capture Signature button
- Let your customer use their finger or a stylus to sign inside the signature box
- Once your customer is happy with their signature, tap Save
- The signature will then appear on the job completion screen
Send Job Completion Email
If your customer has an email address on file, you can opt to send them a job completion email. To do this, follow these steps:
- Scroll to the Confirmation Email section
- Select the email address(es) that should receive the email
Mark As Done
Once you've followed the steps above, then you're ready to mark the job as done by following these steps:
- Review the information you have entered into this job completion screen
- Once you're finished, tap Mark as Done
- Wait for the app to process this job completion
- You will be returned to the My Schedule screen
- On here, the job you just completed will no longer show in your list
- To view completed jobs, tap the Hide Completed toggle
- Once you're ready, repeat the steps above to complete your next jobs starting with this step: Start Job and Get Directions
If any of your work was performed while offline (outside of cellular coverage), make sure to follow these steps to sync your latest job information.
