11/12/2020 Release - Overpayments, Improved Rental Search, and more

The following improvements will be available in ServiceCore on or after November 12, 2020. To see these new features you will need to do a hard refresh in your browser. Here's how to Get the Latest Version of ServiceCore.



You can now receive overpayments in ServiceCore.  There are 2 scenarios for this new feature:

1. Overpayment:  The customers sent a payment for more than they owe.

  When you are on the record payment screen and entering a payment amount that is higher than the selected invoice total, you will no longer see a warning, but a message letting you know the amount left to apply.     screencapture-app-servicecore-accounting-payment-new-2020-11-12-17_20_49.png

After you submitted the payment, the updated payment page will provide the following amounts:

  • Amount Received
  • Amount Applied
  • Amount Remaining

2.  Unapplied Payments

You can record a payment without having an existing invoice or an outstanding balance, e.g. pre-payments or down payments.

When you are on the record payment screen you will enter your payment information, but you do not need to select an invoice.     screencapture-app-servicecore-accounting-payment-new-2020-11-12-17_50_15.png

Payment Tab

The Payment Tab will provide you with sorting and filtering options for the new payment status.

You can easily find all your "partially-applied" or "unapplied" payments by clicking on "Filter By" and selecting one of the status options.


Applying a Credit

When viewing a "partially-applied" or "unapplied" payment, you will always have the option to click "Apply Credit".


On the "Record Payment" screen the credit payment will be pre-selected.


Now you can simply select an invoice to apply your credit.


Note:  You can only apply one credit at a time.


Search Rentals by Company/Organization Name

The rental tab now allows you to search for the company/organization name. This will help to filter all rentals for a specific customer.

  1. Rentals > List

  2. Rentals > Map

  3. Settings > Inventory > Products > Product Details Page > In Progress Rentals



  • Quantity on Delivery and Pickup Job: An issue has been resolved where quantity field would not fill in the amount of units rented when editing a delivery or pickup job.
  • Company Switch Feature in Mobile View:  We have fixed the company switch option to be accessible from any screen size.
  • Address Autocomplete for Counties with Special Prefixes:  When using the address auto-complete feature, counties with the special prefixes, e.g. "St." will now fill correctly into the county address field.
