12/10/2020 Release - Bulk Email/Print Statements, Add Inventory During Jobs, Batch Billing Alerts, Site Names for Rentals, and more

The following improvements will be available in ServiceCore on or after December 10, 2020. To see these new features you will need to do a hard refresh in your browser. Here's how to Get the Latest Version of ServiceCore.

New

Bulk Email/Print Statements

You can now send statements to your unpaid and overdue customers in one bulk operation. The days of sending statements one-by-one are now a thing of the past! To access this new feature, head over to the Aging Report or check out our help center article all about how to use this new feature: Send Statements in Bulk by Print or Email.

Add Inventory Items During Rental Delivery Jobs via the ServiceCore Mobile App

Starting as soon as tomorrow, when using the ServiceCore Mobile app to perform rental delivery jobs, you will be able to add new items to your inventory without leaving the job screen. Before, if you were on-site for a delivery job, and the item you were dropping off was not already part of your inventory, your driver or technician had to leave the job screen, go to their schedule screen, go to inventory, add the item, come back to schedule, then back to the job screen. Whew! It was a lot of time, taps and extra effort to add items while a job was already in progress.

Now drivers, technicians and anyone else delivering items to a job site can add itemized (serialized) items to inventory from the job screen, log the item's GPS location, and continue the job without skipping a beat.

If you don't have automatic updates enabled on your mobile device, once your device sends you an alert or message that a new version of ServiceCore is available to download, you can take advantage of this new feature.

To access this feature, follow the Manage Inventory steps in our Complete a Rental Job help center article. After you scan a barcode, or search for a serial number, you will now have the option to "Add New Item". Add the item as you normally would, and then once you save it, you will be returned to the job details page to continue the delivery job.

Alerts for Negative Invoices During Batch Billing

If you use batch billing to send invoices to customers, you want to know if there are any negative invoices in the batch. We've improved how this information is displayed so you can take action on negative invoices, before sending them to your customers.

If you have any invoices with a negative total due, you will now see the following message during the batch preview to alert you to these invoices, and any negative invoice totals will display in red:

Rentals List

You will now be able to search Rentals Lists and Rental Maps anywhere in ServiceCore by site name and site number. In addition, the site name will now display in the list of rentals.

Users List

As a company with several ServiceCore users, you want more search and sort options for your list of users and staff, so you can find the people you're looking for in fewer clicks. We've made this possible by adding a few items to your list of Users including the ability to search users by full or partial:

  • First name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number

You can also now filter by user status ("In Schedule" or "Not In Schedule"), and you can easily find any inactive users in your account. Here's a preview of the improved Users tab:

Other Improvements Include...

  • Routes: We've made some behind the scenes improvements to destinations on repeat job daily routes.
  • Delete Products on Mobile: When you are using the ServiceCore Mobile App to manage inventory products, you will now be able to delete products by tapping the ellipsis menu icon in the header, and then tapping on the "Delete Product" link. This functionality is only available if you are online and have data reception or WiFi.
  • Jobs and Destinations: We have made some improvements behind the scenes to jobs and frequent destinations to improve performance and in preparation for future improvements to routing, repeat job routes, and route optimization.

Fixed

  • TAC Imports: We've made improvements to the data importer for customers transitioning from Total Activity Control (TAC) to ServiceCore.
