New

Drive Times on Schedule Map

Windshield time is dead money. You can now see the amount of drive time (windshield time) for each daily route on the schedule map. Drive time, combined with total route driving distance should provide you with better information to plan routes, and split your workload more evenly across drivers or technicians.

To see this new feature, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the schedule (the week view, day view, or list view)
  2. For any user listed on the schedule, hover over the button with the three horizontal dots
  3. Click View On Map from the list of options that appear
  4. Look on the left sidebar, below the list of jobs and destinations
  5. You will now see the Drive Time (in hours and minutes) of the route (the bright blue line on the schedule map)

When you drag and drop to reorder the stops, or if you click Optimize Day (the gear icon next to the driver name) you will see the drive time increase or decrease automatically to show you the updated time

Please note: The time shown reflects real time traffic conditions. That means that the drive time is based on the time right now. A route created at 6:00am on a Monday for a Tuesday, will show time according to current traffic at 6:00am on Monday (the traffic right now).

Starting Locations on Repeat Job Routes

If you have setup repeat job routes, when you add a starting (home) destination to a route, it will now automatically show up at the beginning of the route on the schedule. This means that your drivers will start their days from the correct location. And you won't have to manually add the home destination on the schedule every day for every repeat job route.

To take advantage of this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Schedule > Routes
  2. Click Add Route or Edit Route
  3. On the route form, choose a Home Destination from your list of frequent destinations

  4. Add or remove jobs from the route
  5. Click Save

Then, the next time you see this route on the schedule, the home destination will appear at the beginning of the route. For more step-by-step instructions on how to create routes, check out our help article: Create a Route.

Please note, this change will take effect starting after the current day when you edit the route.

  • If today is Thursday, and you add a home destination to a Thursday route, the destination won't appear until next Thursday.
  • If you add a home destination to a Friday route, the destination will appear on tomorrow's route
