If your business does septic or FOG pumping jobs, systems will help you track critical information about the customers you service. Additionally, systems data will populate into each of the "Volume Pumped" reports available from your ServiceCore Reports Dashboard.
In this article we'll walk through the steps to create, edit, deactivate and delete systems.
Before You Start
Here are some things to know before you create system types:
- You will need Manager, Admin or Owner level permission to add a site type
- You will need Admin or Owner level permission to deactivate and delete system types
- Every System type must have a unique name
- ServiceCore offers 10 default system types:
- Aerobic
- Cesspool
- Exterior Grease
- Grease
- Grit Chamber
- Holding Tanks
- Interior Grease
- Other
- Pump Stations
- Septic
- Systems can only be used with Non-Rental Jobs
- Systems will add additional fields to your driver's job completion form and will require "Gallons Pumped" be entered by the driver
How to Add System Types
Follow these steps to add System Types:
- Navigate to the Settings page
- Click on Custom Fields Settings tab
- Click on the System Types tab
- Click Add System Type
- A lightbox appears
- Enter in System Type Name (must be unique)
- Click Add System Type
After You Create New System Types
Now that you have the system types you need, you can assign them to specific customer locations to help keep track of vital system information. When creating a Non-Rental Job, you'll be able to add a system to your customer's location by clicking the Add System button
Alternatively, you can add or manage system types directly from your customer's Sites tab.
How to Edit System Types
Follow these steps to Edit System Types:
- Navigate to the Settings page
- Click on Custom Fields Settings tab
- Click on the System Types tab
- Click Edit System Type
- Make changes as needed.
- Click Save
How to Deactivate and Delete System Types
Follow these steps to deactivate and delete site types:
- Navigate to Custom Fields: System Types
- Click on the Dropdown Arrow for the Service you want to deactivate or delete
- Click "Deactivate System Type"
- Click the "Filter by" button and check the box for "Show Inactive System Types"
- Select "Delete System Type"
- Confirm Delete
