Create a Price Book

Not every customer or location you service is the same so you probably have an ever-growing list of different prices for customers with different scenarios:

  • Prices for residential versus municipal customers.
  • Prices for customers in various territories.
  • Different prices for new versus existing customers.
  • Different prices for special events versus long-term rentals.

These and other customized prices are most likely held in one or more binders scattered across desks as your order entry staff scrambles to match specialty pricing with certain customers.

If this scenario feels familiar, then we have great news for you! Price Books can be set up in your ServiceCore account for easy reference when a rental is being scheduled. You can also easily replace a standard/default rate with a customized price book rate when creating an invoice.

In this article we’ll walk through the steps to set up a price book. To learn how to select a price book when creating an invoice, click here!

Before You Start

  • If a price book is associated with a customer, it can only be used for that specific customer. If you’d like to use a price book for multiple customers, it needs to be associated with a customer type, site type, or territory.
