When you're first getting into your new ServiceCore account, there’s no need to download or install any special software on your computer to use the platform.
You simply open a web browser, go to app.servicecore.com, and log in to your account. Before you do that, however, you'll probably want to check out the information below.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you get started:
- You need to be added as a User to an active ServiceCore account in order to set up your password and log into ServiceCore.
- Set the minimum screen resolution of your computer monitor to 1024 x 768 pixels.
- If you’re using a laptop or netbook, try setting the resolution to 1200 x 800 pixels if items on the screen appear out of place.
- Inactive users cannot log into your ServiceCore account, but their activity will be retained in the platform.
- The Technician and Tech - Billing permission levels are specifically for Drivers who need to log into Docket's mobile app to complete their tasks. Please use this article to help them log into the app.
Set Up Your Password

Supported Web Browsers
ServiceCore is a web-based platform so the browser you use will determine what your overall experience is like when using ServiceCore.
Please Note: While the majority of software platforms work similarly across all web browsers (ServiceCore included), we strongly recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience.
Fully Supported
All ServiceCore features should function fully and correctly. All of our teams test new features and functionality in this browser, and use it on a daily basis.
Partially Supported
While most ServiceCore features should function correctly in these browsers, you may notice some unexpected behavior in certain areas.
You may run into issues that our Support Team and/or Product/Engineering teams can’t fix due to browser limitations. If you find these issues too disruptive, we recommend switching to Google Chrome.
Recommended Web Browser Settings
To get the best experience using ServiceCore, check the following settings in whatever web browser you decide to use:
- Make sure cookies are enabled so all parts of ServiceCore work as expected.
- ServiceCore uses pop-ups and JavaScript to display previews, errors, and alerts. Make sure both pop-ups and JavaScript are enabled.
- Browser add-ons, like extensions, ad blockers, and plugins, can sometimes interfere with ServiceCore. Try disabling your browser add-ons or using a browser without them if you encounter unexpected behavior.
- If ServiceCore feels slow, run a network speed test. If your connection speed is lower than 1,000 kbps, your experience may be affected. Contact your internet service provider for help optimizing your connection or try the suggestions in this wikiHow article about maximizing your internet connection speed.
- If you’re not seeing address suggestions when entering a customer or site address, your browser’s location services may be disabled. Turn on your device's location permissions and make sure to add "https://app.servicecore.com" to your trusted URLs.
Keep ServiceCore Up to Date
Every Tuesday our Product team releases new features, enhancements, and bug fixes as needed. Because ServiceCore is a web-based application, you always have access to the latest version without any special downloads or downtime.
However, your browser saves certain files locally so pages load faster. When we release updates, those saved files can become outdated and cause errors or unexpected behavior. A hard refresh clears those saved files and forces your browser to load the most recent version of ServiceCore.
TIP: We recommend doing a hard refresh at least once a week, ideally on Wednesday mornings since our release will have gone out the night before. This gives you the latest version right when you start your day. Before doing a hard refresh you'll want to log out of ServiceCore first, perform a hard refresh, and then log back in.
To quickly hard refresh after you're logged out of ServiceCore, use the applicable keyboard shortcut below:
| Web Browser | Windows Devices | macOS Devices |
| Google Chrome | Ctrl + Shift + R | Command + Shift + R |
| Mozilla Firefox | Ctrl + Shift + R | Command + Shift + R |
| Microsoft Edge | Ctrl + Shift + R |
Command + Shift + R |
| Apple Safari | Ctrl + Shift + R | Command + Option + R |
Please Note: If you don’t do a hard refresh after an update, your browser may be using older saved files that conflict with the newer version of ServiceCore. This may cause errors when using features that were recently changed or added.
Track When ServiceCore Releases New Updates
There are three ways for you to track when ServiceCore releases new updates and find out more each week:
- Join our private, customers-only Facebook group where we post a summary each Wednesday of what's been released the day before.
- Check out the "What's New" section of your ServiceCore account. The green exclamation mark next to it means there's unread release notifications waiting for you.
- Follow the Release Notes section of our Product Hub in the Help Center by clicking "Follow" at the top of the page.
Use ServiceCore on Mobile Devices
The web browser version of ServiceCore is designed to be responsive on mobile devices. Whether you’re using a tablet or smartphone, the elements on the page will resize and adjust to fit your screen.
TIP: Your drivers will use ServiceCore's mobile app on their smartphone or tablet instead of the web browser version. Click here to learn more about ServiceCore's mobile app.
