The ServiceCore Mobile App is the app drivers and technicians use to manage jobs, check inventory, and update customers from the field. It keeps your field team connected to dispatch, even when the signal drops.
Please Note: This video shows ServiceCore Legacy, our previous app. Some screens and steps look different in the our new mobile app, but many of the same themes carry over.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- The Mobile App is designed for field technicians and drivers who complete work in the field.
- Users must have active ServiceCore login credentials to access the app.
- Your device must meet the minimum system requirements to install and run the app.
- Download and set up the app before first use.
Mobile App Overview
The ServiceCore Mobile App is built for field teams who complete work on-site, including:
- Drivers
- Technicians
- Service personnel who work scheduled jobs
You can use the app to:
- Start and complete scheduled jobs
- Complete service, rental, and specialty jobs
- Manage inventory during jobs
- Send estimated time of arrival (ETA) texts to customers
- Keep working when your connection is weak or gone
Mobile App Menu
There are four buttons along the bottom of your screen in the Mobile App.
- My Schedule: See your jobs for the day. Use the arrows and the “Today” button at the top to change days.
- Inventory: Search your products and see how many you have. Tap the three dots in the top right corner to download your inventory or scan a product.
- Sync Queue: See which job updates and files have synced, and which are still waiting.
- Settings: See your profile, change your language, contact Support, check your app version, and log out.
When you open “My Schedule”, there is a summary bar that shows your day at a glance.
From left to right, the summary bar shows:
- Total stops
- Total job time, including driving and on-site time
- Total distance in miles
- Items to service
- Items to drop off
- Items to pick up
- Exchanges
Tap the phone icon in the top right corner of My Schedule to call the office or your next stop.
Tap the three dots next to it to open more options. You can send an estimated time of arrival (ETA) text, get directions, view jobs on a map, show completed jobs, and edit your job order. Depending on your permission level and account, some options might not be available.
If more than one person signs in on the same device, the app locks the “Is this device being shared?” setting on. If only one person has ever signed in on a device, you can turn the setting on or off yourself. Mobile App Workflows
Most work in the Mobile App falls into a few core workflows.
Jobs
Users can manage field work from start to finish, including:
- Starting scheduled jobs
- Completing service, rental, and specialty jobs
- Following assigned job tasks
- Capturing required job information in the field
- Adding photos with your camera or photo library
Inventory
Users can manage inventory as part of job execution, including:
- Selecting inventory items during jobs
- Tracking inventory by job type
- Working with serialized assets when applicable
- Updating inventory in real time or offline mode
Communication
Users can stay connected with customers and dispatch by:
- Sending estimated time of arrival (ETA) text updates to customers
- Calling the office or your next stop from My Schedule
- Receive job updates from the office
Offline Mode
The Mobile App detects when your device loses service. You don’t need to turn anything on. As you work, the app saves your changes on your device and sends them when you’re back online.
Offline Banner
When your device goes offline, an “Offline” banner appears at the top of your screen. It tells you the app is still saving your changes. Tap the X to hide it.
Queued Changes and Photos
While you’re offline, you’ll see two signs that your changes are waiting to sync:
- A “Queued” label appears on each photo you add. When your device reconnects, the photos move from queued to uploading on their own. You don’t need to add them again.
- A number appears on the “Sync Queue” button at the bottom of your screen. It shows how many changes are waiting to sync.
Sync Queue
The Sync Queue lists every job update and file upload from your device.
- Pending Sync: The change is still waiting to send.
- Synced: The change reached ServiceCore. The date and time appear beside it.
Turn on “Hide synced items” to see only what’s still waiting.
When your device reconnects, your changes sync automatically. If they don’t, tap “Sync” at the bottom of the Sync Queue screen. The button shows how many changes it will send, like “Sync 3 Changes.”

The Mobile App can add photos from your photo library only when your company turns on a setting. In your ServiceCore web account, go to Settings > Company > Preferences > Mobile and select “Yes” for “Allow drivers to upload pictures from camera roll?”
Can I use the new ServiceCore Mobile App and ServiceCore Legacy at the same time?
We don’t recommend switching between the two apps on the same device. Switching can cause data issues when you work offline. Teams can move to the new ServiceCore Mobile App one driver at a time.
