With our October 14 release, ServiceCore will introduce a new and improved Estimates experience as part of ServiceCore Sell, our lightweight CRM and sales tracking functionality.
As part of this change, you will no longer be able to create new estimates using the old (legacy) estimate form.
You'll still be able to view and take action on previously created legacy estimates, but all new estimates will be created using the new ServiceCore Sell estimate form.
What's Changing
Creating New Estimates:
- You will no longer be able to create new estimates using the old (legacy) estimate form
- All new estimates will now be created using the updated ServiceCore Sell experience
View Existing Estimates:
- All of your previously created legacy estimates will remain accessible
- You can still take action on existing legacy estimates (edit, create job, create rental, etc.)
New Estimates Tab:
- New estimates will now be accessible from the top-level navigation, and we'll soon be adding an Estimates (New) tab on the Customer Details page so you can quickly see all new estimates tied to a specific customer
- On legacy estimates, you'll see a clear label indicating that the estimate is part of the legacy version
Why We Made This Change
The new Estimates experience is designed to be faster, more intuitive, and more connected to your sales workflow. With ServiceCore Sell, you can:
- Add products directly to your estimate
- Assign an estimate owner and track sales stages
- Copy and reuse existing estimates to save time
This update lays the foundation for a more complete sales and CRM experience inside ServiceCore, helping teams track leads, manage pipelines, and close more deals.
