Site Pins

WHAT'S NEW

You can now add multiple pins to a single site and attach a note to each one. Use pins to mark exactly where units should be placed, pass along a gate code, or flag anything else your driver needs to know before they get there.

Previously, every site had a single pin. Now you can map the whole site, so your driver knows where each unit goes without calling the office.

WHO HAS ACCESS

• Office users: Accounts enrolled in the mobile app beta.
• Drivers: Site pins are visible in the new ServiceCore mobile app only. Drivers still on the previous app won't see them.

HOW TO ADD SITE PINS

Open a site, click Edit Site Information, and scroll to the Location section.

1. Pin 1 is your site entrance.

When you enter a site address, Pin 1 drops automatically at that address. You can move it wherever you need.

2. Add more pins.

Drag the Drag onto map to add a pin control onto the map and drop the pin where you want it. Repeat for each location you want to mark. Latitude and longitude fill in automatically, and you can fine-tune the coordinates by hand.

3. Add a note to each pin.

Every additional pin gets its own note field under Additional Pins. Write whatever your driver needs to know, up to 255 characters. For example:

• 2 portables and a handwashing station
• 1 portable

4. Save the site.

Your pins appear on the site details map with a numbered legend, so anyone in the office can see the layout at a glance.

WHERE PIN NOTES APPEAR

Once saved, pin notes follow the site everywhere your team needs them:

• Jobs, in the mobile app and on the web
• Rental details pages
• The site details page, on the map and in the numbered legend

WHAT YOUR DRIVER SEES

On any job at that site, drivers open Site Map in the mobile app to see every pin on the map, plus a Site Pins list with each note. They can switch between Site Pins and Inventory from the same view.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Pins are saved to the site, not to a single job. Add them once and they show on every job and rental at that site.
• The first pin will always be Site Entrance and will be utilized for route optimization.
• The drag handles next to each pin change the display order only. The order doesn't affect routing and isn't a service sequence for your driver.
• Each pin note holds up to 255 characters.

BEST PRACTICES

• Use one pin per drop location. It is easier for your driver to follow than one pin with a long note.
• Keep notes short. They get read on a phone, often from the cab. "2 portables + handwashing station" beats a paragraph.

• Move Pin 1 carefully. It is the pin that drives route optimization.
