Adding equipment in ServiceCore allows you to track important details about your trucks, water jetters, excavators, and other machinery in one central location. Keeping equipment records up to date helps with maintenance planning, fleet organization, and smoother scheduling.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- Mark equipment as In Service or Out of Service to reflect availability.
- Equipment marked Out of Service cannot be assigned to a territory in Schedule > Preferences.
- To see if you have access to view, edit, or delete equipment, please review this article on user permission levels.
Add Equipment
To add equipment, follow these steps:
- Click your name in the top-right corner.
- Select “Settings.”
- Click “Schedule.”
- Select "Equipment."

Click the “Add Equipment” button.
- Select a Status. This Status allows for easy filtering in your equipment list.
- TIP: Marking as “Out of Service” will not allow you to assign the equipment to a territory in Schedule > Preferences and is a helpful status for when the equipment is undergoing maintenance.
- Enter a familiar Name so your team can easily identify it. (e.g. Ford F350, Pump Truck 1, etc.)
- Enter the category of equipment as the Type such as Truck, Pumper Truck, Water Jetter, etc.
- Enter the Manufacturer of the equipment like Peterbilt or Ford.
- Enter the Year the equipment was manufactured. (Optional)
- Enter the Capacity/Size the equipment can handle. (Optional)
- Add the VIN/Serial Number for the equipment. (Optional)
- Add Notes for the Equipment. (Optional)
- TIP: Use this section to track helpful details like recent services, upcoming maintenance, known issues, and registration and inspection due dates.

Click the “Add New Equipment” button to save.
Manage Equipment
View or Edit Equipment
Once the equipment has been created, you can view or edit it.
- Click the down arrow in line with the equipment.
- Select “View Equipment” or “Edit Equipment.”
Delete Equipment
To permanently remove equipment from your account:
- Click the down arrow in line with the equipment.

Select “Edit Equipment.”

Click “Delete this equipment.”

Click the “Confirm Delete” button.
Please Note: Deleting equipment is permanent and cannot be undone.
