Territories define the geographic areas where your business provides service. By creating territories in ServiceCore, you can quickly see whether a customer’s location falls within your service area and organize your schedule more efficiently.
Territories also help dispatchers visualize work across different regions. Jobs are color-coded based on the territory where the job site is located, making it easier to group work, assign drivers, and build efficient routes on the Schedule page.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- Territories cannot overlap with each other.
- Territories can only have one driver and one piece of equipment assigned to them at a time.
- Territories help organize scheduling by color-coding jobs on the Schedule page based on their location.
- To see if you have user permissions to add and edit territories, please review this article.

When entering a customer address, ServiceCore automatically identifies which territory the location falls within. This helps your team quickly determine whether a job is within your service area.
Schedule Page
Jobs are color-coded based on the territory where the job site is located. This makes it easier for dispatchers to group work by region and organize routes.
Please Note: If a job displays a gray bar on the Schedule page, the job site is outside any existing territory.

- Click “Edit Territory.”
- Make your changes.
