I Can't Print

A number of things can interfere with your ability to download and print PDFs out of ServiceCore. For example, there may be a problem with your browser settings, popup blockers might be on, an ad blocker might be on, or you may need to download a PDF reader software to be able to view PDFs.

In this article, you'll learn about what kind of issues can prevent you from being able to download and print PDFs from ServiceCore, and how to address these problems.

About Printing in ServiceCore

When you see the option to print something in ServiceCore, you're not actually printing anything. Clicking "Print" will not send a request to a printer you have hooked up to your printer or connected wirelessly. Instead, "Print" means "Download". So, for example, if you are looking at invoices, when you click on "Print Invoice" the following will happen, depending on what browser you're using:

  1. The PDF download will start immediately in the same window or tab you have open
  2. The PDF download will open in a new tab or window
  3. Your browser will ask you if you want to download the PDF

To change the name or download location of a PDF file you want to download, right-click the download link and select "Save As" or "Save link as...". Then, once you have downloaded the PDF, you can choose to print this out, or attach it to an email, or save it to your computer or mobile device.

PDF Reader Software

In order to download a printable PDF from ServiceCore, you will want to have a PDF reader software installed on your computer or mobile device so you can open the file, view it, and print it out. You're welcome to use whatever PDF reader software you want. Here is a link to download Adobe Acrobat Reader (it's free and secure):
