When you want to use your account data with other tools to crunch numbers, or send email announcements, it's as easy as clicking the Export to Excel button throughout ServiceCore. In this article you'll learn where and how to export your account data. And we'll offer some suggestions on how to keep back ups of your data if you want to do that as well.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to keep in mind before you export or back up your account data:
- You will need Manager, Admin or Owner level permission to export account data
- Account data is exported in .CSV file format
- To open and read your account data, you must have an external program or software that allows you to open .CSV files
- If your account is inactive, or your subscription has expired, you will not be able to access or export your account data
- If you want to back up your data, you will need to have an external program, software, or harddrive where you can store your .CSV files

How to Export Your Account Data
Data can be exported from your account in the following areas by following the steps below:
Customers
To export your customer data, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Customers
- Click on Export to Excel above your list of customers, on the right
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Rentals
Invoices
To export invoices for a rental, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Rentals
- Locate the rental you want to view
- Click on View Rental
- Scroll to the Invoices section
- Click Export to Excel above the list of invoices
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Accounting
Estimates
To export estimates, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Accounting
- Click on the Estimates tab
- Click Export to Excel above the list of estimates
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Unpaid Invoices
To export unpaid invoices, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Accounting
- Click on the Unpaid tab
- Click Export to Excel above the list of unpaid invoices
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Overdue Invoices
To export overdue invoices, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Accounting
- Click on the Unpaid tab
- Click the Overdue tab
- Click Export to Excel above the list of overdue invoices
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Paid Invoices
To export paid invoices, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Accounting
- Click on the Paid tab
- Click Export to Excel above the list of paid invoices
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Payments
To export payments, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Accounting
- Click on the Payments tab
- Click Export to Excel above the list of payments
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Credit Memos
To export credit memos, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Accounting
- Click on the Credit Memos tab
- Click Export to Excel above the list of payments
- Save the .CSV file to your preferred file storage location
Reports
The following reports are also available to export your data from ServiceCore:
Click on Export to Excel on each of the report pages to download your data as a .CSV file.
Back Up Your Data
To back up your data, you can use one of the following tools:
- Online backup services (Cloud storage)
- External hard drives
- Flash drives / USB sticks
- Time machine (for Apple Mac users)
- Network storage at your place of business or accessible via a VPN connection
