Use the ServiceCore Mobile App to update job details, record work completed, and mark jobs as finished in the field. Completing a job keeps your schedule up to date and gives the office visibility into the work performed.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- You must have the ServiceCore Mobile App installed and be logged in on your device.
- Technicians can only see jobs assigned to them in the Mobile App.
- Jobs that are unassigned or assigned to other users will not appear in your schedule.
- If you may lose cell service or Wi-Fi while working, review offline functionality and download any required inventory before starting your route.
- If a customer signature is required, the job must include a disclaimer before it can be completed.
- Jobs with customer signatures cannot be edited after they are completed.
For Rental Jobs
As a reminder, if you complete rental jobs using the Mobile App, complete the following before starting your route and while working:
- Download inventory before leaving cell service or Wi-Fi coverage.
- Confirm that all itemized inventory using barcodes or QR codes has been scanned and added.
Review and Add Job Details
Once work is complete, you can finish the job in the Mobile App. Some jobs may include required fields or additional details that must be completed before finishing the job.
Completion Status Overview
When completing a job, select the status that best reflects the work performed.
- Complete: Select “Complete” when all work has been finished as expected.
- Partial Service: Select “Partial Service” when only part of the work was completed. Use this status when only some was completed and additional work will need to be done at another time.
- Unable to Service: Select “Unable to Service” when no work was completed for instances such as when the site was inaccessible, required equipment or inventory was unavailable, or other conditions prevented work from being done.
Please Note: If you select “Partial Service” or “Unable to Service”, you will be required to add Job Completion Notes.
Confirmation Email
If the customer has an email address on file, you can send a job completion email by selecting the checkbox next to their email.
Depending on the customer contacts, you will see a list of both customer and site contacts.
Attachments (Add Photos)
When completing a job, you can upload or take photos to document details regarding the job. Adding photos provides visibility of the job to the office and helps maintain records.
When you tap “Take Photo,” you will be prompted to choose either “From Photos” or “Take Picture.”
If you wish to add a picture that you have already taken, “From Photos”, you will be prompted to allow access to your photo library, where you can choose their preference.
If you want to take a picture using their device’s camera, “Take Picture," you will be prompted to allow access to your camera and will need to tap “Allow.”
After taking the photo tap “Use Photo” and the photo will be added in the Attachments section of the job.
Add Services
Add services to include additional charges or work that was not originally listed on the job.
After tapping “+ Add Service” you will be able to search, locate, and add additional services to the job.
Capture Customer Signature
If your job has a disclaimer, then you will have the option to capture a customer signature when you scroll to the bottom of your job.
Tap “Capture Signature” to open the signature page where the customer can write their signature in the box provided using their finger or a stylus if your touch screen allows it.
After the customer signs, tap “Save” to add the signature to the job.
TIP: Rotate your device to landscape for more space when capturing a signature.
