Job Report Overview

The Job Report gives you a real-time snapshot of every job scheduled or completed in your ServiceCore account. Use it to track job volume, monitor completion status, and spot jobs that were unable to be serviced or only partially completed.

The report has three tabs: Overview, Map View, and Multi Yard View. Overview and Map View are available to every account. Multi Yard View only applies if you have Yard Locations enabled.

Before You Start

Here are a few things to know before you continue:

  • To see if you have access to this feature in ServiceCore, please check out this article on user permission levels.
  • Times throughout the report use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), not your local timezone.
  • If you need more granular, job-level detail than this report provides, click "Go to Job Data Report" at the top of the report to jump to the Job Data Report.

Key Features

  • Summary: Provides high-level counts of total jobs and jobs unable to be serviced or partially completed, along with breakdowns by job type and driver.
  • Filtering Options: Filter results by scheduled date, division, job status, technician, job type, customer, and more.
  • Report Tabs: Switch between the Overview, Map View, and Multi Yard View tabs to see your job data summarized, mapped geographically, or broken down by yard of origin.

Run the Job Report

  1. Click “Reports” in the top menu.
  2. Scroll down and find the Job Report listed under Finance Reports.
  3. Click the name of the report or the “Open Report” icon to open and run the report.

Job Report Filters

On the right-side of the report, there are options to filter the report.

  • Scheduled At: Filter jobs by their scheduled date. Defaults to last month.
  • Division: Filter the report to only show a specific division of your company.
  • Job Status: Narrow results to show specific job statuses.
  • Technician: Filter to show only jobs assigned to a specific driver.

  • Company Name: Narrow list of jobs by company.
    • This filter is only applicable if you manage multiple companies in ServiceCore.

Job Report Tabs

The Job Report has three tabs: Overview, Map View, and Multi Yard View. Use the buttons above the report to switch between them and see your job data summarized, mapped geographically, or broken down by yard of origin.

Overview Tab

The Overview tab is the default view when you open the Job Report. It gives you a high-level summary of your job activity for the selected timeframe.

Overview Tab Summary

Once the Overview tab loads, there is a job summary at the top.

  • Total Jobs: The total number of jobs matching your filters.
  • Unable to Service/Partial Jobs: The total number of jobs marked Unable to Service or Partial Service.
  • Top 10 Job Types: Bar graph that shows your ten most common job types for the selected timeframe.
  • Jobs by Driver: This table breaks down each technician's job count by status.

Details Table

The Details table lists every job that matches your filters, one row per job. Job numbers, rental numbers, site numbers, and customer numbers in the table are hyperlinked. You can hover over a number and click the associated link to open its details page in a new tab.

Map View Tab

The Map View tab plots every job matching your filters on a map, color-coded by technician, so you can see where your team's jobs are happening at a glance.

A scrollable legend on the left lists every technician along with their assigned color. Use this to quickly find a specific technician's jobs on the map.

TIP: If the map feels cluttered, narrow your results first using the Technician filter so only the jobs you care about are plotted.

Multi Yard View Tab

The Multi Yard View tab discussed below is only relevant to accounts with Yard Locations enabled. If you operate out of a single yard, you won't need this tab.

The Multi Yard View tab shows your jobs and rentals broken down by yard of origin, so you can see how work is distributed across your yards.

Multi Yard View Filters

In addition to the standard Job Report filters, this tab includes two filters specific to yard data located above the map.

  • Yards by Job Type: Filter the map and charts below to a specific job type, such as Delivery, Pickup, or Exchange.
  • Destination Name: Filter the map and charts below to a specific yard.

Multi Yard View Map

The map plots job locations color-coded by yard of origin, with a legend on the left showing which color corresponds to which yard.

Multi Yard View Summary

Below the map, you'll see a summary of your job and rental activity broken down by yard.

  • Jobs and Rentals by Yard: Bar graph comparing the total number of jobs and rentals tied to each yard for the selected timeframe.
  • Deliveries, Pick-ups, and Exchanges by Yard: Bar graph breaking down delivery, pickup, and exchange job counts by yard for the selected timeframe.
  • Daily Deliveries, Pick-ups, and Exchanges by Yard: Table showing the same breakdown organized day by day, so you can track daily fluctuations by yard.

Sort a Section of the Report

After using the filters based on your preferences, you have additional options to sort the data that is presented in the report in the different report sections.

To sort the report summary graph sections:

  1. Hover over the section so a menu appears in the top right corner of the section.
  2. Click the three vertical dots.
  3. In the menu that appears, hover over "Sort."
  4. Select your "Sort By" preference.

The tables in the report work a little differently as you can use the headers of the columns to sort.

To sort tables using the column headers:

  1.  Click the options icon next to the header.
  2. Select your sort preference or click the gear icon for additional options.
    • Each column can be sorted either alphabetically A-Z or Z-A OR numerically ascending or descending. For instance, the Customer Number column will sort numerically while the Job Type column will sort alphabetically.

Export or Send the Job Report

Export the Report

Once you have a section of your report displaying the information you want, you can download it for your records.

  1. Hover over the section so a menu appears in the top right corner of the table.
  2. Click the three vertical dots.
  3. In the menu that appears, hover over “Export.”

    • When exporting as a PDF, you can choose Portrait or Landscape layout.

Please Note: You can export up to 1 million rows at a time. If your table contains more than 1 million rows, we recommend using filters to break the data into smaller, exportable chunks.
