04/28/2026 - Service Job Date Now Defaults to 1 Week After Delivery, Size Warning for Failed Email Sends, Company Division Now Available on Estimates, Fixes

The items mentioned below will be available on April 28, 2026. This is a preview of what's coming in the next release. To see these new features once they go live, please perform a hard refresh in your browser and update your mobile app to the latest version (9.6.2). Here's how to Get the Latest Version of ServiceCore.

Service Job Date Now Defaults to 1 Week After Delivery

When creating a rental, the service job date field will now automatically default to one week out from the selected delivery date. This saves order takers from having to manually adjust the date every time and ensures the suggested service date reflects a more realistic scheduling timeline.

Size Warning for Failed Email Sends

Previously, emails with attachments exceeding 15MB would silently fail — the system logged them as successfully sent, but recipients never received them. You will now see a warning banner after sending an email if any attachments were too large to include, with the excluded filenames listed by name. The email itself is still sent; the banner is there to let you know what was left out so you can follow up accordingly.

Company Division Now Available on Estimates

You can now select a Division directly when creating an estimate, giving you better visibility upfront and reducing errors if the estimate converts to a rental. The Division field has moved to the top-level Estimate section (removed from Additional Info). It will auto-select if only one division is available, and is hidden entirely if divisions are disabled or unavailable for that customer. Once set, the Division carries over to any rental or job created from the estimate, and also appears in the estimate details view and on the PDF.

Fixes

Invalid Product Availability Banner (Yard Locations Enabled Customers Only): We fixed an issue that was showing the "Invalid Product Availability" alerts inaccurately, it is now fixed both on the dashboard and on the rental details page. Individual rentals will now show the alert 2 weeks prior to the delivery or pickup job causing the invalid product.

Inventory Availability shown on the Create Rental's page(Yard Locations Enabled Customers Only): We fixed an issue where the available inventory shown when creating a delivery job only considered current days availability, it will now consider future jobs when no pickup date is selected.

Emailing Receipts in Closed Periods: We have updated user permissions to ensure that non-Admin users can email paid receipts even if they belong to a closed accounting period. Previously, the system would block this action with a "cannot modify" error. This update allows your team to continue sending necessary documentation to customers without needing to reopen past periods or rely on an Admin.
