The items mentioned below will be available on September 8, 2026. This is a preview of what's coming in the next release. To see these new features once they go live, please perform a hard refresh in your browser and update your mobile app to the latest version (9.6.9). Here's how to Keep ServiceCore Up to Date.
New Feature: Customizable Billing Periods for One-Time Invoices
You now have more control over billing period dates and rental rates on one-time invoices.
What Changed
- A new company preference toggle, "Show billing period on one-time invoice PDFs," is available in Company Preferences under Printed and Emailed Documents. Turn it on to display the billing period on one-time rental invoice PDFs, or off to hide it. Recurring billing invoices always show the billing period regardless of this setting.
- Billing period start and end dates on one-time rental invoices are now blank by default. You'll need to enter a valid date range before submitting the invoice.
- A checkbox now gives you explicit control over whether rental rates are included on a one-time invoice.
Why It Matters
One-time invoices used to pull their billing period from the rental's original start date instead of the actual service date, so the dates on the invoice didn't always match what really happened. Now you set the billing period directly, so it always reflects the correct dates.
What to Do Next
When creating a one-time invoice for a rental, enter the billing period start and end dates before saving. If you want the billing period to print on the invoice PDF, turn on the new toggle in Company Preferences under Printed and Emailed Documents.

New Feature: Display Yard on Printed Service Tickets & Route Sheets
Audience: Yard Locations Enabled Accounts Only
What Changed
- Yard names now print on service tickets and daily route sheets for delivery and pickup jobs.
- Yard information stays hidden on standard service jobs and for accounts without Multi-Yard enabled.
Why It Matters
Drivers working from paper documents didn't have an easy way to tell which yard a delivery or pickup belonged to. Now the yard name is right there on the printed ticket or route sheet.

Fixes
Barcode Scan GPS Accuracy: Fixed an issue where inventory units scanned in the mobile app, especially while offline, sometimes recorded incorrect or stale GPS coordinates. Barcode scans now capture the precise location of each item at the time of the scan.
Division Filtering on Map View: Resolved an issue where jobs tied to rentals weren't correctly inheriting the rental's division, causing them to show up under "no division" when filtering the schedule's Map View. Existing jobs have been corrected to reflect their rental's division.
Oversold Product Quantity Accuracy: Corrected an issue where reducing a product's total quantity below the number of units currently on rent created a data mismatch. Total quantity now updates correctly in this scenario, keeping it in sync with units in the yard and units on rent.
Batch Billing Surcharge Calculation Order: Fixed an issue where percentage-based surcharges on recurring invoice templates sometimes calculated as $0.00 when invoices were generated through batch billing. Batch billing now uses the same line item order as the "Create Next Invoice" workflow, so surcharges calculate correctly regardless of where they appear on the template.
