05/05/2026 - Mobile Offline Mode Enhancements, Price Book Access for Order Takers, Assign New Site Owner

The items mentioned below will be available on May 5, 2026. This is a preview of what's coming in the next release. To see these new features once they go live, please perform a hard refresh in your browser and update your mobile app to the latest version (9.6.3). Offline Mode Enhancements

We've updated a couple thing in the offline mode feature in the new mobile app version 9.6.3

  • Pending Sync Requests: We've enabled certain network errors to be discarded if they continue to fail when trying to sync the queue. 
  • Photo Upload: We have added better support for larger image upload  
  • Low Connectivity Banner Updates: Drivers will now see a 'Changes Waiting to Sync' in the footer when un-synced changes exist. The 'Low Connectivity' banner will display only when the app detects that the device has lost service. 

Price Book Access for Order Takers

We have updated the Order Taker role to allow team members to view and apply your custom Pricebook rates directly within ServiceCore. Previously, Order Takers might have needed to reference external sheets to find specific customer pricing; now, those rates are available at their fingertips.

Assign New Site Owner

When a site changes hands, you can now reassign ownership without losing service history or manually updating every record.

What's new:

  • Transfer a site to a new owner in a few clicks. From a site record, open the action menu and select "Assign New Site Owner" to kick off a guided transfer flow.
  • Keep your service history where it belongs. All historical job records stay tied to the site - only future billing and communications move to the new customer.
  • Choose how contacts and scheduled jobs are handled. Decide whether to keep or clear existing site contacts, and whether to move future scheduled jobs to the new owner or leave them with the current one.
  • Add a new customer on the spot. If the new owner isn't in your system yet, you can create them directly from the transfer modal without navigating away.
  • Review before you commit. A confirmation step shows you exactly what will change before the transfer is finalized.
  • How to access it: Go to a customer's site, click the action menu (⋮), and select "Assign New Site Owner."

Note: Transfer is not available for sites with an associated rental.


Day of Week Now Shown on Job Date Selectors

When scheduling a job on the job or rental form, the date picker will now display the day of the week alongside the date, making it easier to confirm you’re scheduling on the right day. The day updates dynamically as you change the selected date. This applies only to job date fields on the job and rental forms- other date pickers in the app are not affected.

Fixes

Accurate Tax Handling for Credit Memos: We updated our credit memo logic to ensure that tax-exempt status now carries over correctly from the original invoice. Previously, when creating a credit memo for a tax-exempt customer, the system would occasionally prompt for a tax code if the line items were marked as taxable. This update ensures your credit memos match your invoices automatically, saving you time and preventing manual entry errors during the credit process.

Recurring Invoice Setup Accuracy: We have updated the recurring invoice setup process to ensure rental rates and prorated quantities load accurately on your first attempt. Previously, when setting up monthly billing in arrears, the rate lines would occasionally display incorrectly or appear blank until the page was refreshed. This update ensures that your billing periods and quantities are calculated immediately and consistently, providing a smoother experience when converting rentals to recurring invoices.
