The items mentioned below will be available on July 28, 2026. This is a preview of what's coming in the next release. To see these new features once they go live, please perform a hard refresh in your browser and update your mobile app to the latest version (9.6.7). Here's how to Keep ServiceCore Up to Date.
Feature Update: Automated Email Reminders Updates
What Changed
- Automation setup has moved from Settings into Messaging, where you're already working.
- You can now edit the subject line and body copy directly, insert variables like customer name, site address, job type, and company info from a side panel, and preview exactly how the email will render with real data before it goes live.
- The "Recommended Next Service" toggle now uses the date your technician entered at job completion to drive the send schedule, instead of only a fixed interval. If no date was entered, the automation falls back to the standard schedule automatically.
- When setting up a new automation, you can schedule reminders for past completed jobs that match your configured timeframe, with a per-job review list so you can include or exclude individual customers or jobs.
Why It Matters
Setting up and adjusting reminders used to mean jumping into Settings and working with a single fixed timing rule. Now you can manage everything from Messaging, customize the message itself, and catch up on already-completed jobs instead of waiting for the next one to trigger a reminder.

New Feature: Inventory Mismatch Alerts on the Product Details Page
What Changed
- A new "Mismatches" banner appears on the Product Details page when your on-site rental inventory doesn't match what's expected between the yard and the rental site.
- The "Rented" label has been renamed to "On-Site Units" to more clearly describe units currently out at rental locations.
Why It Matters
Discrepancies between yard and rental counts often go unnoticed until they cause billing or inventory errors. This banner surfaces the mismatch right away so you can investigate before it snowballs.

New Feature: Overdue Job Alerts on Rental Details
What Changed
- The Rental Details page now shows a warning banner for any overdue pickup or delivery jobs tied to the rental.
-
A separate reminder banner appears when a rental's end date has passed but inventory is still on-site, prompting you to create a pickup job.
Why It Matters
Overdue jobs are one of the most common causes of inaccurate availability counts. These banners let you spot and resolve them directly from the rental instead of tracking them down elsewhere.
Feature Update: Yard Locations in Itemized Units Export
Audience: Yard Locations Enabled Accounts Only
What Changed
- The Itemized Units CSV export now includes a yard location column for units currently sitting in a yard.
Why It Matters
Without yard details in the export, verifying where physical inventory sits meant cross-referencing a separate report. Now that information is in one place.
Fixes
Restricted Rental Deletion: Fixed an issue where rentals could be deleted while units were still on-site at the customer's location, leaving that inventory unaccounted for in your counts. Rentals with on-site units now require a completed pickup job or a delivery quantity of zero before they can be deleted.
Job List Failing to Load After a Sync Error on Mobile: Resolved an issue where a failed sync attempt, often caused by a connectivity issue, could get stuck in the queue and prevent a driver's job list from loading. Jobs now load correctly even when a previous request failed to sync. This went out on 7/23 over the air, so no action is needed if you're on version 9.6.7 or later.
Accurate Inventory Availability for Legacy Jobs (Yard Locations-Enabled Accounts): Fixed an issue where editing older jobs created before your account's multi-yard migration could show incorrect or negative inventory availability. These jobs now calculate and display your yard's actual on-hand inventory, matching newly created jobs.
QBO Sync XML Errors and Log Visibility: Resolved the recurring "Exception appears in converting Response to XML" error that affected some QuickBooks Online syncs starting 7/14. The customer-facing QBO Sync Log under Reports now also shows this specific error, so you can spot and troubleshoot sync issues faster.
Job-Complete SMS Site Details Restored: Fixed an issue where job-completion text messages sent to customers were missing the site name and address. These details now appear correctly in the SMS, matching your configured messaging templates.
