Workflow Change: Final Pickup Inventory Updates

Completing a final full pickup for a rental now automatically clears the last known location of any serial numbers you didn't explicitly select during job completion.

What Changed

  • When you complete a final pickup for a rental and all expected units are collected, any serial numbers you didn't explicitly select are automatically cleared from their last known yard location.
  • A driver note is added to the job, recording which serial numbers were removed this way.
  • This only applies to final pickups where all expected units are collected. Partial pickups aren't affected.

Why It Matters
Serial numbers left unselected during a full pickup used to stay tied to the job site, even after the equipment was gone, so your yard inventory didn't match reality. Now a final pickup clears those units automatically, keeping your inventory accurate without manual reconciliation.

Feature Update: Territory Filtering on the Schedule

Saved Filters on the Schedule now include Territories, so enterprise companies with multiple territories can filter their schedule views the same way they already do with Divisions.

Weekly Schedule _ ServiceCore (11).png

What Changed

  • Territories are now available as a filter option when building or editing a Saved Filter on the Schedule.
  • Filtering behavior works the same way Divisions filtering already does.

Why It Matters
Companies covering a lot of ground can end up with a schedule map that's crowded with pins and hard to read. Filtering by territory narrows the view down to just the area you're working, which keeps the schedule more manageable for larger accounts.

October Bug Fixes

Over the last week plus, our team focused on burning down bugs. Out of a larger backlog, 16 of the fixes we feel matter most to you are shipping today, covering rentals, billing, scheduling, and more.

ServiceCore Bug Fix Video.gif

Rentals & Inventory

Product Audit Log Entries for Bulk and Itemized Products: Fixed an issue where expanding a Product Audit Log entry showed "Unknown Product" and left out unit counts. The log now shows the product name and the number of units added or removed for bulk products, along with the serial numbers for itemized products.

Job Date on a Rental After Viewing Schedule Suggestions: Fixed an issue where a job's date could change unexpectedly if you viewed scheduling suggestions for a different day, then closed the window without picking one. Jobs now keep their originally selected date.

Job Type Selection When Creating a Rental Job: Fixed an issue where creating a new job for a rental locked the job type picker to the first category you selected, such as Delivery. You can now switch between categories like Service, Exchange, and Pick-Up without restarting the job.

Customer Portal

Service History Access for Portal Users: Fixed an issue where staff with Owner, Admin, or Manager permissions couldn't view Service History in the Customer Portal due to a permissions error. These users can now access and interact with job history in the portal.

Address Display on the Payment Page: Fixed a layout issue on the "Make a Payment" page where long site addresses caused horizontal scrolling and misalignment on mobile devices. Addresses now wrap correctly across all screen sizes.

Scheduling, Routing, & Mobile

Date on Appointment Confirmation Emails: Fixed an issue where appointment confirmation emails showed the date the job was created or sent instead of the scheduled service date. This happened specifically for jobs created with a time window and sent directly from the rental page without being re-saved. Emails now reflect the correct scheduled date.

Confirmation Email Field in the Mobile App: Fixed an issue where the Confirmation Email section appeared empty when completing a job in the mobile app, if the customer's communication preference was set to Print and no customer-level email was saved. Technicians can now see and select valid site contacts to send completion emails.

Monthly Jobs on Static Routes: Fixed an issue where monthly recurring jobs could be added to static routes, which are meant to support only weekly recurring jobs. Only weekly recurring jobs now appear and can be added when building a static route.

Monthly Jobs on Weekly Route Maps: Fixed an issue where monthly recurring jobs incorrectly appeared on the map when building a technician's weekly route. The route map now shows only weekly jobs, so dispatchers see exactly the stops that belong there.

Job Quantity on Hover in Schedule Week View: Fixed an issue where job quantity was missing from the hover tooltip on service jobs in the Schedule Week view. Rental service jobs now correctly show quantity in parentheses after the job name on hover, matching Day and List views.

Billing & Invoicing

Recurring Invoices Created in Closed Accounting Periods: Fixed an issue where Manager users could save recurring invoices dated inside a closed accounting period, sometimes without seeing a warning. Recurring invoices are now checked against your closing date the same way one-time invoices already are.

Autopay Filter for Bank and ACH Recurring Invoices: Fixed an issue where the Autopay filter on Recurring Invoices only recognized templates set up for autopay by credit card. Templates set to autopay from a bank account now show correctly under "Autopay: Enabled."

Proration on the Final Invoice After Pickup: Fixed an issue where a rental's final recurring invoice stopped prorating once the pickup job had been linked to an earlier invoice. Proration is now based on the actual pickup date, so the final invoice charges the correct prorated amount.

Symbols on Printed Invoices and Estimates: Fixed an issue where certain characters, like quotation marks and dashes, showed up as garbled symbols when an invoice or estimate was downloaded or printed as a PDF. These characters now display correctly, exactly as typed.

Print Receipt Link on Paid Invoices: Fixed an issue where clicking "Print Receipt" from the dropdown next to "Print Invoice" on a paid invoice did nothing. This now correctly generates the receipt, matching the behavior already available from the invoice list view.

Yard Locations

Routing Error When Switching Companies: Fixed an issue where users in Yard Locations-enabled companies hit a routing error when navigating to the Yards tab after switching companies. The app now clears cached data and routes to the correct yard for the active company.

Expand/Collapse Full Weekly Schedule

Weekly Schedule _ ServiceCore (9).png

What Changed

  • A new "Expand all" button lets you instantly view every job for every driver across the entire week in the Weekly Schedule view.
  • You can also click a driver's name to expand or collapse just their weekly schedule.
  • This update includes performance improvements, so the schedule stays fast and responsive even with thousands of jobs displayed.

Why It Matters
Reviewing every driver's full week used to mean working with a cramped view or clicking into each driver one at a time. Now you can see the whole team's week at once, or drill into one driver, without the schedule slowing down as job volume grows.

Enhanced Yard Deactivation Workflow

Audience: Yard Locations-Enabled Accounts

Edit Yard _ ServiceCore.png

What Changed

  • Yards can no longer be deleted while they still contain products, inventory items, or open jobs. Deactivate the yard instead.
  • Deleting a yard is now called Deactivating a yard, matching the safer workflow already used for products.
  • A new status filter on the Yards list lets you view and reactivate deactivated yards.

    Yards _ ServiceCore.png

Why It Matters
Deleting a yard that still had inventory or open jobs used to risk losing track of equipment or tasks tied to that yard. Deactivating preserves everything associated with the yard, so you can reactivate it later without losing anything.

Auto-Fill Billing Period on One-Time Rental Invoices

We've refined the "Auto-fill billing period dates on one time rental invoices" setting from last week's release so it also captures the correct dates for rentals that already have a pickup date scheduled.

Company Preferences _ ServiceCore (10).png

What Changed

  • If the rental has both a delivery date and a pickup date, the billing period's Start Date and End Date fields now autofill with those dates, instead of both defaulting to today's date.
  • If the rental doesn't have a pickup date yet, both fields still autofill with today's date, same as last week. You can always adjust either date manually before saving.

Why It Matters
For rentals with a pickup date already scheduled, defaulting both fields to today's date didn't reflect the period the unit was actually on-site, so you'd have to manually correct it. This update makes the billing period accurate automatically whenever a pickup date is already set.

New to this setting?
This preference was introduced in our 09/15/2026 release: Auto-Fill Billing Period on One-Time Rental Invoices.

Schedule Map Zoom Retention

Adjusting a job's details, like reassigning a driver, no longer resets your schedule map's zoom level.

What Changed

  • The map now only re-zooms to fit all pins when you change a filter or on first load.
  • Your zoom level stays in place while you make other adjustments, like reassigning a driver.

Why It Matters
Previously, any small job change reset your zoomed-in view of the map, forcing you to re-zoom every time. This keeps your view steady while you work through the schedule.

Audit Log

Audit Log is a new feature that shows what changed, who changed it, and when.

Audience: Audit Log-Enabled Accounts

What Changed

  • Audit Log is a new feature that captures the before and after values for a change, along with who made it and when.
  • On pages that previously showed a "View History" pop-up, that pop-up has been replaced with an Audit Log section at the bottom of the page.
  • This is rolling out to more customers over the coming days, so you may not see it in your account right away.

Why It Matters
When something changes in your account, knowing who and when often isn't enough. You need to know what changed too. Audit Log gives you that detail, so tracking down changes and resolving discrepancies takes less digging.

Want to Learn More?
Check out our Help Center article: Audit Log Overview and FAQs

Audit Log Deletion History Report

A new Deletion History report gives you a dedicated place to track which records have been deleted, when, and by whom.

Audience: Admins and Owners

Embedded Report _ ServiceCore (22).png

What Changed

  • The Audit Log Deletion History report lives under a new Audit Log Reports section on the Reports page.
  • Each row represents one deleted record, not one click, so a single action that deletes multiple records shows up as separate entries.
  • The report distinguishes between records that were deleted and records that were deactivated.
  • Deletion history is available starting from April 2026. Activity before that date isn't included.
  • The report doesn't link back to the deleted record itself.

Why It Matters
When something goes missing from your account, knowing who deleted it and when helps you sort out what happened, without digging through support tickets or asking around the team.

Auto-Fill Billing Period on One-Time Rental Invoices

One-time rental invoices can now automatically fill in the billing period with today's date.

Company Preferences _ ServiceCore (7).png

What Changed

  • A new Accounting preference, "Auto-fill billing period dates on one-time rental invoices," is available in your company settings.
  • When turned on, the billing period start and end dates on a one-time rental invoice automatically fill in with today's date.
  • When turned off, nothing changes. You'll still enter the billing period dates yourself.
  • This preference is separate from "Show billing period on one time invoice PDFs" under Printed and Emailed Documents.

Why It Matters
Entering billing period dates on every one-time rental invoice adds up if you create a lot of them. This preference removes that step for teams that want the speed, while keeping accurate manual entry as the default for everyone else.

Yard Filter for Jobs List

You can now filter the Jobs list by Yard.

Audience: Yard Locations-Enabled Accounts

Rental Jobs _ ServiceCore (2).png

What Changed

  • A new Yard filter, using autocomplete search, is available on Jobs list views.
  • This makes it easier to see all jobs tied to a specific yard, which helps with troubleshooting and inventory management.
  • The filter is available on most Jobs list views, but not on the Ready for Invoice job list.

Why It Matters
When inventory or job counts don't line up, tracing the problem back to a specific location used to mean scanning your full jobs list. Filtering by yard lets you narrow in on just the jobs tied to that location.

Scheduled Date Used for Job Completion Date

Job completion now defaults to the job's scheduled date instead of today's date.

Job Details _ ServiceCore (3).png

What Changed

  • When completing a job, the completion date now defaults to the job's originally scheduled date instead of today's date.
  • A new read-only field shows the scheduled date being used, with helper text to clarify why.
  • A quick-action button lets you switch to today's date instead, if that's more accurate for your situation.

Why It Matters
Billing and record-keeping are more accurate when the completion date reflects when the work was actually scheduled to happen, rather than whenever someone gets around to marking it done. The quick-action button keeps today's date one click away for the times you need it.

Longer Name and Label Fields for QuickBooks-Synced Accounts

Audience: QuickBooks Online-Synced Accounts

Several ServiceCore fields now accept longer names and labels to match what QuickBooks Online allows.

What Changed

  • Customer names now accept up to 127 characters, up from 31.
  • Site names now accept up to 127 characters, up from 31.
  • Tax Agency names now accept up to 255 characters, up from 41.
  • Tax Code and Tax Rate labels now accept up to 255 characters, up from 31.

Why It Matters
Shorter character limits meant longer QuickBooks Online names sometimes triggered sync errors or had to be trimmed, losing information along the way. Matching QuickBooks Online's limits means your full-length names and labels come over without those workarounds.

Customizable Billing Periods for One-Time Invoices

You now have more control over billing period dates and rental rates on one-time invoices.

Company Preferences _ ServiceCore (6).png

What Changed

  • A new company preference toggle, "Show billing period on one-time invoice PDFs," is available in Company Preferences under Printed and Emailed Documents. Turn it on to display the billing period on one-time rental invoice PDFs, or off to hide it. Recurring billing invoices always show the billing period regardless of this setting.
  • Billing period start and end dates on one-time rental invoices are now blank by default. You'll need to enter a valid date range before submitting the invoice.
  • A checkbox now gives you explicit control over whether rental rates are included on a one-time invoice.

Why It Matters
One-time invoices used to pull their billing period from the rental's original start date instead of the actual service date, so the dates on the invoice didn't always match what really happened. Now you set the billing period directly, so it always reflects the correct dates.

What to Do Next
When creating a one-time invoice for a rental, enter the billing period start and end dates before saving. If you want the billing period to print on the invoice PDF, turn on the new toggle in Company Preferences under Printed and Emailed Documents.

Display Yard on Printed Service Tickets & Route Sheets

Audience: Yard Locations Enabled Accounts Only

Service Ticke with yard.png

What Changed

  • Yard names now print on service tickets and daily route sheets for delivery and pickup jobs.
  • Yard information stays hidden on standard service jobs and for accounts without Multi-Yard enabled.

Why It Matters
Drivers working from paper documents didn't have an easy way to tell which yard a delivery or pickup belonged to. Now the yard name is right there on the printed ticket or route sheet.

Seasonal Fee Automation

You can now set up automated seasonal fees, like winterization fees, so they apply to invoices on their own, with proration built in.

What Changed

  • A new Seasonal Fee automation is available under Settings > Automations. You set a trigger product and a date range, and ServiceCore applies the fee automatically to qualifying invoices.
  • The fee prorates automatically based on how much of the season a rental was on-site for, so you're not manually calculating partial charges.
  • You can exclude specific customers, sites, site types, or territories from a seasonal fee automation.

Why It Matters
Manually adding and removing seasonal fees across every affected invoice each season is slow and easy to get wrong. This automation handles the calculation and timing for you, so the right fee shows up on the right invoices without the manual cleanup.

Want to Learn More?
Check out our article on setting up your first seasonal fee automation: Automatically Apply Seasonal Fees to Invoices

Rental Job Filter on Rental Details

You can now filter the Jobs section on a Rental Details page by movement type: pickup, delivery, or exchange.

Rental Details _ ServiceCore (1).png

What Changed

  • The Scheduling Type filter for the Jobs list on a Rental includes three new options: Rental job: Pickup, Rental job: Delivery, and Rental job: Exchange.

Why It Matters
Finding a specific delivery or pickup on a rental with a long job history used to mean scanning the entire list. Now you can isolate just one movement type to find what you're looking for.

Mismatched On-Site Inventory Tab

Audience: Accounts using Rentals

The Inventory Management Report now has a tab to help you catch on-site inventory that doesn't match your records.

Embedded Report _ ServiceCore (21).png

What Changed

  • A new "Mismatched On-Site Inventory" tab flags products still showing as on-site for completed or closed rentals, and rentals in progress with no on-site units recorded.
  • Each flagged item links directly to the related rental so you can investigate and correct it.

Why It Matters
Inventory that's technically closed out but still shows as on-site (or vice versa) throws off your availability numbers and is hard to track down without a dedicated view. This tab surfaces those mismatches in one place instead of making you dig through rentals one at a time.

Card Account Updater (CAU)

Card Account Updater automatically keeps the card details you have on file current, so expired or reissued cards don't cause declined payments. We've also updated the payment methods area to give you more visibility and control over saved cards.

Audience: Accounts using Fiserv/CardPointe for Card Payments

Card Account Updater_ In-app experience.png

What's Changing

  • Saved cards will be automatically checked and updated when a customer's card is renewed, reissued, or replaced, without you or your customer having to do anything.
  • You'll be able to see when a card's details were automatically updated, directly from the customer's Payment Types tab.
  • You'll be able to deactivate a card separately from permanently deleting it.

Why It Matters
Recurring and scheduled payments fail most often because the card on file is out of date. This keeps card details current in the background, so you see fewer declined payments and get paid faster.

September Bug Fixes

Released the week of 9/29/26 👇

Accurate Billing for Deactivated Users: Fixed an issue where deactivated users still flagged as "In Schedule" were counted as billable seats. Billing now correctly excludes deactivated users from your billable seat count.

Manually Reordered Weekly Routes Resetting Over the Weekend: Resolved an issue where manually reordered routes for future dated weeks reverted to the Saved Route default order over the weekend. Manual route order for future weeks now persists correctly.

Released the week of 9/22/26 👇

Mobile Photo Upload and Job Sync Reliability: Resolved an issue where a failed photo upload on the mobile app could block your job completion status from syncing to the office. The app now retries photo uploads with smarter timeouts, so a poor connection no longer delays your job updates from reaching the office.

Invoice Selection When Paging Through Payments: Fixed an issue where your invoice selections were lost when paging through multiple pages of open invoices while recording a payment or applying a credit. Invoices you deselect now stay deselected across pages, and auto-allocation now applies to your full invoice list instead of just the invoices visible on the current page.

Yard Address and Location Accuracy on New Companies: Corrected an issue where newly created companies or migrated yards sometimes defaulted to an incorrect address and location, often showing Alaska. Address and state information is now pulled correctly from your billing details during setup, so your yard locations are accurate from the start. (Yard Locations-Enabled Accounts)

Released the week of 9/15/26 👇

Division Field on Estimates: Resolved an issue where the selected division would disappear when editing an existing estimate. Estimates now correctly retain their division after updates.

Edit Payment on Payments with a Removed Card: Fixed an issue where opening Edit Payment for a payment tied to a removed card showed an empty Credit/Debit Cards dropdown and failed to save with no error message. These payments can now be edited and saved successfully, and if no card is selected, you'll see a clear on-screen error instead.

Payment Funding Dates from CardConnect: Resolved an issue where Funding Date and related settlement details stopped populating on payment and deposit records for accounts using the funding-sync feature. Newly settled card and ACH payments will now show accurate Funding Dates and settlement details going forward. This fix does not backfill funding dates missed during the outage; a separate backfill for those historical records is planned for next week.

Reapplying a Payment's Remaining Balance: Fixed an issue where reapplying a payment's remaining balance to an invoice as account credit failed with a rounding-related error. Payments that balance to the penny now apply successfully.

Record Payment Invoice Filter Labeling: Resolved an issue where the From and To date fields on the Record Payment page didn't indicate which date they filtered by. The filter now clearly shows that it filters by Due Date.

Reports Company Folder Persistence (Pilot Reports users): Fixed an issue where reports copied into the Company Folder would disappear after refreshing the page. Reports now remain visible and accessible as expected.

Released the week of 9/8/26 👇

Barcode Scan GPS Accuracy: Fixed an issue where inventory units scanned in the mobile app, especially while offline, sometimes recorded incorrect or stale GPS coordinates. Barcode scans now capture the precise location of each item at the time of the scan.

Division Filtering on Map View: Resolved an issue where jobs tied to rentals weren't correctly inheriting the rental's division, causing them to show up under "no division" when filtering the schedule's Map View. Existing jobs have been corrected to reflect their rental's division.

Oversold Product Quantity Accuracy: Corrected an issue where reducing a product's total quantity below the number of units currently on rent created a data mismatch. Total quantity now updates correctly in this scenario, keeping it in sync with units in the yard and units on rent.

Batch Billing Surcharge Calculation Order: Fixed an issue where percentage-based surcharges on recurring invoice templates sometimes calculated as $0.00 when invoices were generated through batch billing. Batch billing now uses the same line item order as the "Create Next Invoice" workflow, so surcharges calculate correctly regardless of where they appear on the template.

Released the week of 9/1/26 👇

Site Type Dropdown Limit on the Customer Portal: Fixed an issue where the Customer/Site Type dropdown in the Customer Portal only showed the first 10 options. You can now see and select from all configured site types when creating a new site.

August Enhancements

Released the week of 8/18/26 👇

KPI Badge Design Update

KPI badges throughout ServiceCore now use one consistent design.

New

KPI badges After.png

Old

KPI Badges Before.png

What Changed

  • KPI badges across ServiceCore, including in Accounting, your Dashboard, the Estimates tab, and customer profiles, now share one unified design with a white background instead of a colored one.
  • The numbers, buttons, and actions tied to each badge work exactly as they did before. Nothing about their functionality has changed.

Why It Matters
Previously, KPI badges looked different depending on where you saw them in ServiceCore. This update gives every badge a single, consistent look across the platform.

Job Status Validation for Unable to Service

ServiceCore now prevents "Unable to Service" from being selected on Pick-Up, Delivery, and Exchange jobs once any product counts have been entered.

Job Details _ ServiceCore Box.png

What Changed

  • If you've entered any product counts, such as delivered, picked up, or exchanged quantities, on a Pick-Up, Delivery, or Exchange job, "Unable to Service" appears grayed out and can't be selected as the completion status.

Why It Matters
This prevents accidental status changes that could conflict with inventory movements you've already recorded, keeping your product counts and availability accurate.

Data Share Updates

Audience: ServiceCore accounts enrolled in ServiceCore Data Share

If you pull ServiceCore data into your own warehouse, a new view and a new column are being added to your Data Share on August 20, 2026.

New view:

  • A view exposing the conditional visibility rules for fields in your Custom Workflows, showing when a field is shown or hidden based on another field's value.

New column:

  • Company preferences: a billing manager email field identifying the contact responsible for billing communications at each company.

Data Share Updates

Audience: Accounts using ServiceCore Data Share

If you pull ServiceCore data into your own warehouse, a new column is being added to your Data Share on August 6, 2026.

Updated view:

  • Line item category: a new column showing which user last modified each line item category.

August Bug Fixes

Released the week of 8/25/26 👇

"Unable to Service" Jobs Billed on Future Invoices: Resolved an issue where batch and recurring billing could pull jobs marked "Unable to Service" onto a later invoice, even though they were correctly left off the invoice for the period they actually occurred in. This meant you could get billed for a job that was never completed. "Unable to Service" jobs are now excluded from all invoice generation, matching how cancelled jobs already work.

Emergency Job Indicator Missing on Mobile: Fixed an issue where the emergency indicator (a red "!" badge) wasn't showing up on job cards in the mobile app. Drivers can now see the emergency badge on their schedule and in job details, matching what's shown on web.

Released the week of 8/18/26 👇

Final Invoices Posting Into Closed Accounting Periods: Fixed an issue where completing a rental with "End Billing when ending a rental" enabled could generate a final invoice dated into an already-closed accounting period, if the rental used arrears billing. ServiceCore now blocks that automatic invoice and instead emails your designated billing contact so you can review and create the invoice in an open period. You can set or update the Closed Accounting Period Billing Contact in Company Preferences, next to the Closed Accounting Period setting. This field appears once a closing date is set and pre-fills with your company email, but you can change it to a different address.Billing Manager Email Option w_ Tooltip Highlighted.png

Completing Pickups for Itemized Inventory: Fixed an issue where completing a pickup for itemized inventory didn't let you confirm which specific units came back, and partial pickups required the system to guess. You can now select the serial numbers picked up and enter the total quantity for the job. A full pickup returns all units to the yard automatically, and a partial pickup returns only the units you select and flags the job for reconciliation.

Rental Map and Mismatch Accuracy for Partial Deliveries: Fixed an issue where rentals could show as "in progress" on the map and in mismatch views when the delivered quantity differed from the original order quantity. These views now use the actual delivered quantity, so your map and reports reflect what's really in the field.

Bulk Product Quantity Duplicate Submissions: Fixed a bug where double-clicking Save while editing bulk product quantities could double-apply the change to your yard counts. Duplicate submissions are now blocked, so your "In Yard" counts and Total Quantity stay in sync.

Released the week of 8/11/26 👇

Map View Crashing With Division Filters Applied: Resolved a memory leak that could cause the Schedule Map View to become unresponsive or crash your browser when applying or changing division filters, especially as more pins were added to the map. No action is needed on your end.

Released the week of 8/4/26 👇

Arrears Billing Start Date Calculation: Resolved an issue where the start date for recurring invoices on company-level arrears billing defaults wasn't calculating correctly. The start date now reflects the correct arrears period as soon as the invoice is created.

Yard Availability Counts: Resolved an issue where moving an item without an assigned yard could incorrectly increase your availability counts. Availability now updates correctly whether or not the item has a yard assigned.

End of Rental Banner Timing: Resolved an issue where the End of Rental banner could show up on a rental that still had its final pickup scheduled for later that same day. The banner now only appears after that pickup is complete.

Rental Map Accuracy and Discrepancy View: Resolved a race condition that could show incorrect data when quickly switching between rental map views. The Discrepancy view has also been updated to exclude rentals that are only scheduled to start today, so it now shows only genuine inventory discrepancies.

Recommended Next Cleaning Date: Resolved an issue where the Recommended Next Cleaning date on the System Details page showed one day earlier than the date actually selected during job completion. The date now matches what was selected.

PDF Generation for Completed Septic Jobs: Resolved an error that prevented printing or generating PDFs for completed septic jobs when the job type had no custom fields defined. PDFs now generate correctly regardless of whether custom fields are set up.

July Enhancements

Released the week of 7/28/26 👇

Automated Email Reminders Updates

What Changed

  • Automation setup has moved from Settings into Messaging, where you're already working.
  • You can now edit the subject line and body copy directly, insert variables like customer name, site address, job type, and company info from a side panel, and preview exactly how the email will render with real data before it goes live.
  • The "Recommended Next Service" toggle now uses the date your technician entered at job completion to drive the send schedule, instead of only a fixed interval. If no date was entered, the automation falls back to the standard schedule automatically.
  • When setting up a new automation, you can schedule reminders for past completed jobs that match your configured timeframe, with a per-job review list so you can include or exclude individual customers or jobs.

Why It Matters
Setting up and adjusting reminders used to mean jumping into Settings and working with a single fixed timing rule. Now you can manage everything from Messaging, customize the message itself, and catch up on already-completed jobs instead of waiting for the next one to trigger a reminder.

Inventory Mismatch Alerts on the Product Details Page

image (16).png

What Changed

  • A new "Mismatches" banner appears on the Product Details page when your on-site rental inventory doesn't match what's expected between the yard and the rental site.
  • The "Rented" label has been renamed to "On-Site Units" to more clearly describe units currently out at rental locations.

Why It Matters
Discrepancies between yard and rental counts often go unnoticed until they cause billing or inventory errors. This banner surfaces the mismatch right away so you can investigate before it snowballs.

New Feature: Overdue Job Alerts on Rental Details

image (17).png

What Changed

  • The Rental Details page now shows a warning banner for any overdue pickup or delivery jobs tied to the rental.
  • A separate reminder banner appears when a rental's end date has passed but inventory is still on-site, prompting you to create a pickup job.

    image (18).png

Why It Matters
Overdue jobs are one of the most common causes of inaccurate availability counts. These banners let you spot and resolve them directly from the rental instead of tracking them down elsewhere.

Yard Locations in Itemized Units Export

Audience: Yard Locations Enabled Accounts Only

What Changed

  • The Itemized Units CSV export now includes a yard location column for units currently sitting in a yard.

Why It Matters
Without yard details in the export, verifying where physical inventory sits meant cross-referencing a separate report. Now that information is in one place.

Data Share Updates

Audience: Accounts Enrolled in ServiceCore Data Share

If you pull ServiceCore data into your own warehouse, several new views and columns are being added to your Data Share on July 23, 2026.

New views:

  • A view showing the multi-step workflows your team sets up, including name and trigger type, along with related views for workflow versions, custom workflow fields and their options, and where those fields appear on generated PDF documents. These are tied to an upcoming ServiceCore feature, so they may be empty until that feature is available in your account.
  • A view showing the reusable message subjects and bodies your team creates for automated customer communications.
  • A view showing each job on a route in one place, including assigned driver, timing, job type, product and quantity, location, and territory. This matches the data behind the "Planned Route" Standard Report.

New columns:

  • Payment gateway token cards: Card Account Updater status and timestamp, plus a soft-delete flag for retired cards.
  • Customer stats: an overdue date field.
  • Company and customer billing preferences: default billing cadence, interval unit, and interval length.
  • Transaction line items: a field marking the display order of line items.
  • Batch billing operations: a field grouping operations processed together in the same batch run.

Reverse Route

Dispatchers and schedulers can now flip a driver's full stop order for the day in a single click.

Audience: Dispatchers, Schedulers

Daily Schedule _ ServiceCore (3).png

What Changed

  • A new "Reverse Route" action is available in the Day, List, and Weekly Schedule views.
  • Selecting it flips a route's stop order without dragging each job one by one.

Why It Matters
Manually reordering a route stop by stop takes time, especially on a long route. This gives you a fast way to flip a route's direction when traffic, weather, or a last minute change calls for it.

Rental Job Filters on the Jobs List

You can now filter the Jobs list by rental job movement type: delivery, pickup, or exchange.

Rental Jobs _ ServiceCore (1).png

What Changed

  • The Scheduling Type filter on the Jobs list includes three new options: Rental Job: Delivery, Rental Job: Pickup, and Rental Job: Exchange.

Why It Matters
Missed pickups and deliveries quietly throw off your availability numbers. Now you can isolate just one movement type to find and close out the jobs affecting your count, instead of scanning your full jobs list.

In Progress Rentals Tab Now Shows Closed Rentals with Units On-Site

The In Progress Rentals tab on the Product Details page now shows closed rentals that still have units on-site from a partial pickup.

Product Rentals _ ServiceCore.png

What Changed

  • The In Progress Rentals tab now includes closed rentals with inventory still on-site, not just rentals that are still open.

Why It Matters
Before this update, a closed rental with leftover units would disappear from this tab, making those units easy to lose track of. Now you have one place to see every rental still holding inventory, regardless of status, so outstanding pickups are easier to spot and clean up.

Default Billing Settings at the Company and Customer Level

You can now set default billing preferences for recurring invoices at both the company and customer level. This saves you from making the same manual adjustments every time you create a recurring invoice.

What Changed

  • Under Settings > Company > Preferences > Accounting, you can set a default Payment Terms, Billing Type (advance or arrears), and Interval. These populate automatically when you create a new recurring invoice
  • If a customer has their own Billing Type or Interval set, those customer-level settings take priority over your company defaults.
  • Payment Terms can still be set at the customer level, same as before.

Why It Matters

Setting up recurring invoices used to mean adjusting the same Payment Terms, Billing Type, and Interval every time. Now you can set your defaults once at the company level and only adjust settings for the customers who need something different.

Product Details Page Layout

The Product Details page has a refreshed layout to make key information easier to find at a glance.

What Changed

  • The product name now displays as a header.
  • The Available badge has been replaced with an In Yard badge.
  • Total Quantity has been added as a KPI badge.
  • The Edit button is more prominent.

Why It Matters
These updates make it faster to see a product's status and quantity information without digging through the page.

July Bug Fixes

Released the week of 7/28/26 👇

Restricted Rental Deletion: Fixed an issue where rentals could be deleted while units were still on-site at the customer's location, leaving that inventory unaccounted for in your counts. Rentals with on-site units now require a completed pickup job or a delivery quantity of zero before they can be deleted.

Job List Failing to Load After a Sync Error on Mobile: Resolved an issue where a failed sync attempt, often caused by a connectivity issue, could get stuck in the queue and prevent a driver's job list from loading. Jobs now load correctly even when a previous request failed to sync. This went out on 7/23 over the air, so no action is needed if you're on version 9.6.7 or later.

Accurate Inventory Availability for Legacy Jobs (Yard Locations-Enabled Accounts): Fixed an issue where editing older jobs created before your account's multi-yard migration could show incorrect or negative inventory availability. These jobs now calculate and display your yard's actual on-hand inventory, matching newly created jobs.

QBO Sync XML Errors and Log Visibility: Resolved the recurring "Exception appears in converting Response to XML" error that affected some QuickBooks Online syncs starting 7/14. The customer-facing QBO Sync Log under Reports now also shows this specific error, so you can spot and troubleshoot sync issues faster.

Job-Complete SMS Site Details Restored: Fixed an issue where job-completion text messages sent to customers were missing the site name and address. These details now appear correctly in the SMS, matching your configured messaging templates.

Released the week of 7/21/26 👇

Invalid Quantity Error on Swap, Pickup, and Delivery Job Edits (Multi-Yard Accounts): Resolved an issue where editing an existing swap, pickup, or delivery job on a multi-yard account could trigger a false "Invalid Quantity" error showing zero units available, even though that inventory was already assigned to the job. The system was incorrectly counting the job being edited against its own availability. Jobs can now be edited and saved as expected.

Estimates KPI Card Totals on the Accounting Page: Resolved an issue where the Estimates KPI card on the Accounting page included deleted estimates in its total. The card now reflects only active estimates, so your financial overview matches your records.

Released the week of 7/14/26 👇

Mobile Job Status Reverting to In Progress: Fixed a bug on the mobile app where completing a job briefly showed as done before reverting to "In Progress," with no error message. Jobs were completing correctly the whole time. This is delivered over the air, so no app update is required.

Duplicate Invoices from Rapid Clicking: Fixed a bug where clicking "Save and Record Payment" multiple times in quick succession on a single invoice could create duplicate invoices for the same billing period. This is now resolved.

Copied Rental Invoice Billing Period End Date: Fixed a bug where the "Billing Period End Date" field on copied rental invoices would lock up, showing a grayed out calendar picker and a red validation error that would not clear. The calendar picker and date validation now work as expected when copying rental invoices.

Percentage Surcharge Recalculation on Invoice Edits: Fixed an issue where percentage based surcharges did not recalculate when a new line item was added to an existing invoice. The surcharge now updates automatically whenever line items change. This does not affect historical invoices unless you edit a field that changes the invoice total.

Released the week of 7/7/26 👇

Product Details Page Rented Count: Fixed an issue where the Rented count on the Product Details page did not account for incomplete past pickups, causing it to show a lower number than the Products page. Both pages now show matching counts.

Rental Transaction Period Start and End Dates: Fixed an issue where invoices generated after the first invoice in a recurring cycle saved identical period start and period end dates. Saving these invoices now correctly captures the distinct dates for each billing cycle. This fix is not retroactive, so historical invoices and existing data share records are unaffected. This applies to Data Share customers only.

June Enhancements

Released the week of 6/30/26 👇

Active Recurring Invoice Indicator on Credit Cards by Customer Report

The Credit Cards by Customer report now flags which cards are tied to an active rental's recurring billing.

What Changed

  • A new "On Recurring Invoice (Active Rental)" column shows "Yes" when a card is linked to a recurring invoice on an active rental with no end date.
  • The existing "On Recurring Invoice" column is unchanged. It still shows whether a card is linked to any recurring invoice, rental or non-rental, regardless of rental status.
  • Both columns now have hover-over descriptions on their headers explaining what each one tracks.

Why It Matters

Finding the cards that actually affect upcoming charges used to mean sorting through cards tied to invoices that no longer matter. Now you can filter straight to cards on active rentals and stay ahead of expirations before they interrupt a recurring charge.

Driver Quantity Confirmation for Itemized Jobs

When completing a delivery or pickup job with itemized products, drivers must now enter the actual quantity moved before they can complete the job.

Audience: Drivers completing delivery or pickup jobs with itemized products via the ServiceCore Mobile App.

What Changed

  • The actual quantity field on delivery and pickup jobs with itemized products now defaults to blank instead of pre-filling with a zero quantity.
  • Drivers must enter a value before the job can be marked complete.

Why It Matters

Pre-filled quantities let drivers complete jobs without confirming what was actually moved. This change makes active confirmation required, which keeps your inventory counts and availability numbers accurate.

Transaction ID Column on the Payment Report

The Payment Report's Details table now includes a Transaction Id column showing the processor's reference number (for example, a CardPointe reference) alongside each payment.

What Changed

  • A Transaction Id column now appears in the Payment Report's Details table.
  • The column displays the payment processor's transaction reference next to the payment date, method, customer, and invoice.
  • Applies to all payment types. Particularly useful for ACH/EFT reconciliation.

Why It Matters

Reconciling payments against your processor previously required cross-referencing the Deposit Report or logging into CardPointe separately. You can now export a single Payment Report that includes the processor reference number alongside your payment detail.

AR Aging Report

A new AR Aging Report is now available under Accounting Reports. It shows every unpaid customer balance organized by how many days past due each invoice is. The AR Aging Report is built for financial reconciliation, so your AR balances and Monthly AR Balance Report align during month-end close.

The old Aging Report is now named Aging Snapshot Report and still has the same functionality for your day-to-day operational tracking.

Audience: Billing Staff

Embedded Report _ ServiceCore (8).png

What Changed

  • The AR Aging Report relies on the dates set on your financial transactions rather than the dates your users modified data in the system. Most notably, the dates that payments are applied to an invoice is based on the Payment Application Date, a new field that can be modified by users in ServiceCore.
  • It also includes a built-in tool to check differences against your Monthly AR Balance Report.
  • Ability to distribute unapplied payments to aging buckets or not.

What is the Same

  • You still have access to the old Aging Report, it’s just been renamed Aging Snapshot Report.
  • The AR Aging Report is also available under Reports > Accounting Reports and includes three views: Summary, Details, and Contacts.
  • Just like the old Aging Report (Aging Snapshot Report), you can send customer statements directly from the report.

What to Do Next

Get a full walkthrough of the report, its views, filters, and export options: AR Aging Report Overview

Payment Application Date

A new Application Date field on the payment form controls which accounting period a payment counts toward on your AR Aging Report. In almost all scenarios, this field will default as needed for accurate reporting, and you will not need to adjust this date.

Audience: Billing Staff

What Changed

  • When you apply a payment to an invoice, an Application Date field now appears below the invoice line.
  • You can adjust it if you need a payment to apply to a different date, for example, for a late-recorded check, a split-period payment, or an old unapplied credit applied to a newer invoice.
  • The Application Date is not sent to QuickBooks Online. QBO continues to use the Payment Record Date for its own aging.

Why It Matters

Before this update, there was no way to control which accounting period a payment aged into. If a check arrived in December but was recorded in January, your AR Aging Report would show it in January regardless. The Application Date gives your billing team the flexibility to record payments accurately across periods, which is especially useful during month-end close.

What to Do Next

Price Book Copy + Filtering

You can now duplicate an existing Price Book and filter the Price Books list view by category.

What Changed

  • A "Copy Price Book" quick action is now available on each Price Book in the list. Confirming the copy creates an exact duplicate of all pricing tiers, products, and services, appends "(copy)" to the name, and opens the duplicate directly in the edit form.
  • A new filter button on the Price Books list lets you filter by category: Customer, Site, Territory, or Customer/Site Type.
  • A "Show inactive price books" toggle is now available. Inactive Price Books display with muted text, and their only available action is "Reactivate."
    • Please Note: You cannot copy a Price Book if a deactivated Price Book with the same name already exists. Use the "Show inactive price books" toggle to find and rename or reactivate it first.

Why It Matters

Managing multiple Price Books across regions or divisions meant rebuilding similar books from scratch and scrolling through an unfiltered list to find the right one. You can now duplicate an existing book as a starting point and filter the list to find what you need faster.

New to Price Books?

Complete Old Delivery Jobs on Rentals

You can now complete old delivery jobs on rentals where the pickup job has already been finished without affecting your yard counts or product availability.

Audience: Yard Locations Enabled Accounts Only

What Changed

  • Previously, completing a delivery job after its associated pickup job was already finished would incorrectly affect your yard counts and product availability.
  • You can now close out those open delivery jobs without any impact to your inventory or availability numbers.

Why It Matters

Open delivery jobs left over from completed rentals created noise in your job list and made it difficult to reconcile without risking incorrect availability counts. You can now clean those up without any side effects.

Manager Permissions for Message Automations

Managers can now create and edit message automations in ServiceCore, giving them direct control over automated customer communications without needing Admin or Owner involvement.

Audience: Managers on Accounts with Messaging Automations

Permissions _ ServiceCore.png

What Changed

  • The Manager permission level now includes the ability to create new message automations and edit existing ones.
  • Previously, only Admins and Owners could create or edit automations. That restriction no longer applies to the Messages automation type.

Messaging Automations _ ServiceCore.png

Why It Matters

If Managers are the ones handling day-to-day customer communication workflows, requiring an Admin or Owner to make automation changes created unnecessary bottlenecks. Now Managers can build and adjust those automations on their own.

New Jobs Tab on the Rentals Page with Quick Filters

The Rentals page now has a Jobs tab that gives you a full, filterable jobs list without leaving the Rentals area.

Rental Jobs _ ServiceCore.png

What Changed

  • A new Jobs tab sits between the Map and Inventory tabs on the Rentals page.
  • A Quick Filters drop-down inside the tab offers three preset views:
    • Missed Rental Jobs: These are incomplete rental jobs from yesterday and earlier that move inventory and may be affecting your availability numbers.
    • Today's Remaining Rental Jobs: These are incomplete rental jobs scheduled for today that move inventory.
    • Jobs Ready for Invoice: These are completed, billable, non-rental jobs that haven't been invoiced yet.

The Product Availability Chart tooltip now includes a "See All" link. Clicking it takes you directly to the jobs list, pre-filtered to show the exact jobs contributing to that availability count.

Why It Matters

Availability numbers that don't add up are usually caused by missed or incomplete jobs. Before this update, tracking those down meant leaving the Rentals page entirely. Now you can spot and act on the jobs affecting your availability count from one place.

June Bug Fixes

Released the week of 6/30/26 👇

Route Optimization Map Stop Number Display: Fixed a display issue where stop numbers over 100 were getting cut off inside the map pin, so Stop 104 looked like "10." Pins now resize to fit three-digit stop numbers, so drivers and dispatchers can read every stop on high-volume routes.

Released the week of 6/16/26 👇

Multi-Site Invoice Tax Rounding on PDFs: Resolved a 1-cent rounding discrepancy on Multi-Site Invoice PDFs. The printed invoice total now matches the sum of the rounded subtotal and rounded tax fields. Any historical invoices affected are automatically corrected. Re-downloading or re-printing a past invoice will show the correct total.

One-Time Invoice PDF Billing Period Not Printing: Fixed a bug where manually entered billing periods on One-Time Invoices were not printing on the generated PDF. The data was always saved correctly. Any historical One-Time Invoices with a missing billing period are automatically corrected. Re-downloading, re-printing, or re-emailing the PDF will now show the billing period.

Net Sales Report Line Item Display: Fixed an issue where invoice line items with identical descriptions and start dates were being collapsed into a single row on the Net Sales Report. Every line item associated with an invoice now displays individually, giving you an accurate and complete view of your invoice detail.

Delete System Link Missing on Edit System Page: Fixed an issue where the "Delete System" option was missing from the Edit System page. Users and our Support team can now properly remove systems that are no longer needed.

Delivery/Pickup Jobs With Product Pulled From Yard Fails to Display Planned Duration: Resolved a bug where planned durations were not displaying on saved delivery or pickup jobs when products were pulled from a yard. This fix ensures accurate route time calculations and scheduling.

Route Creation - Driver Picker Capped at 100 Active Schedulable Users: Fixed a limitation in the route creation tool that only displayed the first 100 drivers. The driver selection field now uses an autocomplete search, allowing you to find and select any active, schedulable user regardless of how many you have.

Rented Count in Products Page (Yard Locations Enabled Accounts Only): Fixed an issue on the product page Rented count. It will now include rented units that may have been scheduled for pickup but those jobs were never completed.

Released the week of 6/2/26 👇

Rented Count Incorrectly Including Service Jobs: We have resolved a bug where completed service jobs were being counted toward the Rented count, causing it to display a higher number than the actual quantity of items out on rent. Rented counts now correctly reflect only delivered inventory.

Route Order Shuffling After Completing a Job on Mobile: We have resolved a bug where completing a job would cause the schedule to reorder or go blank, leaving drivers confused about their next stop. The schedule now stays in its optimized order throughout the route — completing a stop no longer triggers a server refetch that could shift the job list. Additionally, drivers completing an invoiceable job will now land on the job details screen rather than being sent back to the schedule. These changes will be delivered over the air, so no app update is required.

“Checking In On Delivery Date” Warning Not Showing for Multi-Yard Accounts: We have resolved a bug where accounts with multiple yard locations were not seeing the warning on the rental form indicating that units are scheduled to be checked in on the same delivery date. This warning is an important safeguard against overbooking when same-day pickup jobs may not be completed in time, and it now displays correctly regardless of yard configuration.

Rented Count Incorrectly Including Service Jobs: We have resolved a bug where completed service jobs were being counted toward the Rented count, causing it to display a higher number than the actual quantity of items out on rent. Rented counts now correctly reflect only delivered inventory.

Bulk Daily Route Sheets For All Users Do Not Display Units for Rental Service Jobs: Resolved a bug where units serviced for rental jobs were missing from the "Service" column when printing bulk Daily Route Sheets from the schedule. The emailed PDF now correctly includes all serviced units, matching the individual driver route sheets.

Printed service tickets intermittently missing inventory and quantity: Fixed an issue where inventory items and quantities would sometimes fail to appear on printed service tickets for rental service jobs. These details will now consistently display on all printed tickets.

Duplicate Invoices Generated via Batch Billing: We fixed an issue where the processing lock on large invoice batches would occasionally drop before the entire list was finished loading. This caused the page to refresh early, which could lead users to accidentally re-select and double-bill the remaining invoices. The small time window that the user was able to re-select a recurring invoice to be batched a second time has been eliminated.

Deactivating Products

You can now deactivate products that are no longer in use, keeping your product list clean without losing any historical data.

Deactivated Products

Deactivated Products.png

Deactivate Button

New Deactivate Button.png

What Changed

  • Deactivated products are hidden from new rentals, jobs, and availability charts.
  • Deactivated products remain visible in existing records.
  • To deactivate a product, it must have no assigned services, no active rentals, and no active itemized units.
  • For itemized products, deactivate all associated items before deactivating the product.
  • You can reactivate a product at any time if you need it again.

Why It Matters

Over time, product lists can get cluttered with equipment you no longer rent. Deactivating keeps your list clean and your availability charts accurate, without deleting records you may need for reporting or auditing later.

Default Class on Services

You can now set a default Class on a Service, so the class auto-fills any time that service is added to a job, invoice, or rental rate. This field is optional, but if you regularly associate certain services with specific classes, it can save your team a lot of repetitive data entry.

Default Class on Service.png

What Changed

  • A Default Class field is now available on each Service in your account settings.
  • Once set, the class auto-populates when that service is added to an invoice, job line item, or rental rate.
  • Setting a default class is optional. If you prefer to leave the class blank at the service level, you can.
  • Your team can still manually edit or override the class on any individual line item.
  • If you use QuickBooks Online, this update does not affect your existing QBO sync configuration or item list.

Why It Matters

If your team assigns classes to most or all of your service line items, they've been doing that manually every time. Setting a default at the service level removes that repetitive step and reduces the chance of a line item being left unclassified.

What Changed

  • A "Next Service Due" column is now available in the system tables on Customer and Site pages.
  • The date shown pulls from Service Reminders, not the "Next Service" badge on the System Details page.

Why It Matters

You no longer have to open each system record to check when service is next due. You can see upcoming service dates at a glance from the Customer or Site level, which speeds up scheduling and customer conversations.

Availability Table Tooltip

You can now click on any availability number in your inventory table to see a breakdown of what's affecting your stock on that day.

What Changed

  • Clicking a number in the availability table opens a tooltip showing a summary of pickups, deliveries, and exchanges for that day.
  • The tooltip lists up to 15 relevant jobs with status indicators, like checkmarks for completed tasks and arrows for job types, and links directly to each job's details.

Why it Matters

When availability looks off, you used to have to search through relevant jobs manually to figure out why. Now you can find the related jobs in one click without leaving the page.

Coming Soon

You'll also be able to view this job breakdown in a list view. More details coming when it ships.

Product Filter on the Rentals List

You can now filter your rentals list by product to quickly find which rentals are tying up specific inventory.

What Changed

  • A new product filter is available on the rentals list.
  • Use the autocomplete search to filter by product and see exactly where your units are.

Why it Matters

When inventory is running short, you need to find occupied rentals fast. This filter gets you there without scrolling through your full list.

"In Yard(s)" View on Products Page

Audience: Yard Locations-enabled accounts

A new In Yard(s) column on your Products page shows how many units are physically in your yards or currently en route from completed pickup jobs.

What Changed

  • The In Yard(s) column displays the total number of units across all yards, plus units from completed pickup jobs that are on their way back.
  • Product statistics and availability calculations have been updated to reflect the most current unit counts.

Why it Matters

If you run multiple yards, this gives you a fast read on where your physical inventory actually is without clicking into individual yard pages.

Exclude Completed, In Progress, and Cancelled Jobs from Route Optimization

Dispatchers can now re-optimize a route midday without moving jobs that are already done, in progress, or cancelled.

What Changed

  • When re-optimizing, you can choose to start from the first scheduled job, the last completed job, or the current in-progress job.
  • Completed, in progress, and cancelled jobs are excluded from reordering.

Why it Matters

Mid-day changes used to mean re-optimizing the whole route, which risked disrupting jobs your drivers had already started or finished. Now you can adjust the remaining work without touching what's already in motion.

New to Route Optimization?

Start at First Job for Saved Routes

Dispatchers can now optimize saved routes starting from the first job on the list, without selecting a departure destination first.

What Changed

  • The saved route optimization no longer requires you to manually pick a starting destination before running.

Why it Matters

Removing the manual starting destination step saves time for dispatchers who set up routes that don't begin at a yard or destination.

Select All Divisions When Creating a Customer

We’ve added a "Select All" checkbox to the create customer form, making it much faster to assign a customer to all available divisions at once. This eliminates the need to manually select each division, streamlining the setup process.

What Changed

  • The Select All checkbox appears in the divisions section of the create customer form.
  • Clicking it assigns the customer to every available division in a single step.

Why it Matters

For businesses with multiple divisions, manually selecting each one added time and room for error when setting up new customers. This speeds that up.

"Suspended" Customer Stage

A new "Suspended" stage is now available on customer records, giving your team a visible way to flag accounts that should not be actively serviced.

Screenshot 2026-05-18 at 3.01.41 PM.png

Screenshot 2026-05-18 at 3.02.31 PM.png

Screenshot 2026-05-18 at 3.02.05 PM.png

What Changed

  • Suspended is now an option in the Customer Stage field when creating or editing a customer.
  • The stage is visible across the app: customer list views, customer details page, and customer search results on rental, job, and transaction forms.
  • When you select a suspended customer on a rental or job form, a persistent warning tag appears on the form. It's advisory only and does not block a user from creating, continuing, or saving.
  • Please Note: Billing Managers and above can assign the Suspended stage.

Why it Matters

Without a Suspended stage, teams had no consistent way to flag problem accounts. Staff could create jobs or rentals for suspended customers without any in-app warning, which creates billing and service headaches.

Service History in the Customer Portal

Audience: Pro Plan accounts

Your customers can now view their job history and upcoming services directly from their Customer Portal.

Screenshot 2026-05-19 at 9.30.29 AM.png

Screenshot 2026-05-19 at 9.30.53 AM.png

What Changed

  • A new Service History page is available in the left-hand navigation of the Customer Portal.
  • The page shows all jobs across all statuses, defaulting to a 30-day lookback and 30-day lookahead from today.
  •  The Job list displays job number, status, job type, address, schedule date, and completion date.
  • Customers can sort, search, and filter jobs by type and status.
  • Jobs with attachments show an icon to open and browse photos directly in the portal.
  • Jobs with a service ticket include a download button to save the PDF.

Why it Matters

Customers frequently call to ask about past services or confirm upcoming ones. This page gives them a self-serve way to check their history without contacting your office.

Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions URLs for Pro Messaging

Audience: Pro Plan accounts (Pro Messaging not yet enabled)

If you haven't yet enabled Pro Messaging, you can now add your Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions URLs in your company settings before Twilio messaging can be activated.

image (11) (1).png

What Changed

  • Two new URL fields are available in your Company > Information settings for Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
  • Both fields are optional individually, but they are required as part of the Pro Messaging activation process.
  • URLs must be valid and start with https://

Why it Matters

Twilio requires these URLs as part of messaging campaign compliance. Without them, your Pro Messaging campaign cannot be enabled.

What to Do Next

  1. Go to your Company > Information settings.
  2. Locate the Privacy Policy URL and Terms & Conditions URL fields.
  3. Enter valid https:// URLs for each.

Improved Security on Public Payment Pages

For accounts with payment processing enabled, ServiceCore has added automatic protection against fraudulent payment attempts on public-facing payment pages.

What Changed

  • A new "Allow Online Payments" setting is now available for customers which defaults to "On".
  • After five declined payment attempts on an invoice or customer balance, online payments are automatically disabled for that record.
  • You can re-enable payments at any time from the customer or invoice record, which also resets the attempt counter.

Why it Matters

Fraudulent "carding" attacks, where bad actors test stolen card numbers against payment pages, can expose your account to chargebacks and processing flags. This setting stops repeated failed attempts automatically, without you having to intervene.

  • All your system details in one place. System type, installation date, hose length, bedrooms, occupants, and notes are now captured on a single System page. No more hunting across screens.
  • Multi-tank support. Document multiple tanks under one system, each with its own type, size, material, filters, pumping frequency, and lid details, including digging depth and requirements.
  • System location with map. View the system's address and access point alongside a map so your office always knows exactly where it sits.
  • At-a-glance service summary. Cards at the top of the page surface the last service date, linked customer, and site address immediately.
  • Linked job history, attachments, and contacts. Jump directly to a system's full job history, attachments, or site contacts from the same page.

Why it Matters

System details used to be scattered across multiple screens. This page pulls everything together so your team can prep for a job or answer a customer question without hunting around.

What to do Next

Go to a customer record, open the Site tab, and click into any system to review the new system page.

Coming Soon: The Mobile Systems update which will let drivers and techs view and edit system information from the mobile app. Until then, systems can only be edited from desktop.

Date Range Filter for Yard & Product Audit Logs

The Yard and Product Audit Logs now include a date range filter so you can narrow results to a specific time period.

Audience: Yard Locations-enabled accounts ONLY

Yard Audit Log _ ServiceCore.png

What Changed

  • A date range filter is now available on both the Yard Audit Log and Product Audit Log.
  • Filter to a specific date range to find the entries you need faster.

Why it Matters

Without a date filter, finding a specific audit entry meant scrolling through everything. Now you can go straight to the time period you need.

Offline Mode Enhancements

We've updated a couple things in the offline mode feature in the new mobile app version 9.6.3:

  • Pending Sync Requests: We've enabled certain network errors to be discarded if they continue to fail when trying to sync the queue.
  • Photo Upload: We have added better support for larger image upload
  • Low Connectivity Banner Updates: Drivers will now see a 'Changes Waiting to Sync' in the footer when un-synced changes exist. The 'Low Connectivity' banner will display only when the app detects that the device has lost service.

Price Book Access for Order Takers

We have updated the Order Taker role to allow team members to view and apply your custom Pricebook rates directly within ServiceCore. Previously, Order Takers might have needed to reference external sheets to find specific customer pricing; now, those rates are available at their fingertips.

Assign New Site Owner

When a site changes hands, you can now reassign ownership without losing service history or manually updating every record.

What's new:

  • Transfer a site to a new owner in a few clicks. From a site record, open the action menu and select "Assign New Site Owner" to kick off a guided transfer flow.
  • Keep your service history where it belongs. All historical job records stay tied to the site - only future billing and communications move to the new customer.
  • Choose how contacts and scheduled jobs are handled. Decide whether to keep or clear existing site contacts, and whether to move future scheduled jobs to the new owner or leave them with the current one.
  • Add a new customer on the spot. If the new owner isn't in your system yet, you can create them directly from the transfer modal without navigating away.
  • Review before you commit. A confirmation step shows you exactly what will change before the transfer is finalized.
  • How to access it: Go to a customer's site, click the action menu (⋮), and select "Assign New Site Owner."

Note: Transfer is not available for sites with an associated rental.

Day of Week Now Shown on Job Date Selectors

When scheduling a job on the job or rental form, the date picker will now display the day of the week alongside the date, making it easier to confirm you’re scheduling on the right day. The day updates dynamically as you change the selected date. This applies only to job date fields on the job and rental forms- other date pickers in the app are not affected.

May Bug Fixes

Released the week of 5/26/26 👇

Job Line Item Class on 'This and all following': Fixed an issue where adding a class to a line item on a recurring job did not carry forward to future jobs when selecting "This and All Following Jobs." The system now ensures that the assigned class properly copies to all subsequent jobs in the series along with the line item itself.

Products Page Rented Count (Yard Locations enabled accounts only): Fixed an issue on the Products page where the "Rented" count was incorrectly including units from past uncompleted jobs for yard locations enabled accounts. The count now accurately reflects only units on completed past delivery jobs and those in scheduled future jobs, providing a more precise view of your current inventory status.

Released the week of 5/19/26 👇

Lasso Tool for Yard Locations Enabled Accounts: We fixed an issue where accounts with yard locations enabled were unable to correctly use the lasso tool on the schedule map.

Fixed Invoice Copy Error: We have resolved an issue where using the "Copy Invoice" action would fail with a "LineItems Error." With this update, you can once again quickly copy existing invoices to generate new ones without interruption or error messages, saving your team from having to enter identical billing data manually.

Fixed Saved Route Changes not Persisting: Fixed an issue where edits to a Saved Route (such as reordering stops or adding new jobs) would only apply to the next occurrence. Changes now correctly persist across all future weeks on the schedule.

Pickup Jobs Failing to Save Edits: Resolved a bug where edits to pickup jobs would silently fail — changes would not save and the page would scroll back to the top with no error message. This affected pickup jobs that were created before a company was migrated to the updated Yard Locations architecture and did not have a destination assigned. Pickup jobs can now be edited and saved as expected.

Released the week of 5/12/26 👇

Multi-Site Invoice Preview Clarity: We have updated the Batch Billing preview so Multi-Site invoices correctly display the Company or Customer Name. Previously, some previews were showing the primary contact person's name instead of the business name, which caused confusion during the review process. This update keeps consistent naming across all your billing tabs, making it easier to verify your invoices before they are sent.

Copying Unable to Service Jobs: Fixed an issue where inventory could temporarily appear as 0 on a copied pickup job that was originally marked “Unable to Service”.

Deleting Yards (Yard Locations Enabled Customers Only): Fixed an issue that allowed users to delete all yards. The system now prevents deleting the last active yard so there is always at least one yard available.

Released the week of 5/5/26 👇

Accurate Tax Handling for Credit Memos: We updated our credit memo logic to ensure that tax-exempt status now carries over correctly from the original invoice. Previously, when creating a credit memo for a tax-exempt customer, the system would occasionally prompt for a tax code if the line items were marked as taxable. This update ensures your credit memos match your invoices automatically, saving you time and preventing manual entry errors during the credit process.

Recurring Invoice Setup Accuracy: We have updated the recurring invoice setup process to ensure rental rates and prorated quantities load accurately on your first attempt. Previously, when setting up monthly billing in arrears, the rate lines would occasionally display incorrectly or appear blank until the page was refreshed. This update ensures that your billing periods and quantities are calculated immediately and consistently, providing a smoother experience when converting rentals to recurring invoices.

April Enhancements

Released the week of 4/30/26 👇

Default Service Date Setting

You can now configure how far out the service date defaults when creating a rental - no more manually adjusting it every time.

What's new: Under Settings > Company > Preferences > Rentals, there is a new Default Service Date setting. Enter the number of days after the delivery date that you'd like the service date to automatically populate when creating a rental. For example, entering "3" means the service date will default to 3 days after the selected delivery date.

  • Defaults to 7 days for all accounts
  • Minimum value of 0 days (same day as delivery)
  • The service date can always be adjusted manually when creating a rental

This follows the recent update that defaulted the service date out one week and gives your team full control over the right cadence for your operation.

Service Job Date Now Defaults to 1 Week After Delivery

When creating a rental, the service job date field will now automatically default to one week out from the selected delivery date. This saves order takers from having to manually adjust the date every time and ensures the suggested service date reflects a more realistic scheduling timeline.

Size Warning for Failed Email Sends

Previously, emails with attachments exceeding 15MB would silently fail — the system logged them as successfully sent, but recipients never received them. You will now see a warning banner after sending an email if any attachments were too large to include, with the excluded filenames listed by name. The email itself is still sent; the banner is there to let you know what was left out so you can follow up accordingly.

Company Division Now Available on Estimates

You can now select a Division directly when creating an estimate, giving you better visibility upfront and reducing errors if the estimate converts to a rental. The Division field has moved to the top-level Estimate section (removed from Additional Info). It will auto-select if only one division is available, and is hidden entirely if divisions are disabled or unavailable for that customer. Once set, the Division carries over to any rental or job created from the estimate, and also appears in the estimate details view and on the PDF.

Flexible Default Autopay Management

We have updated the way you manage payment methods to give you more control over your Autopay settings. You can now easily set, change, or remove a customer’s default Autopay method using the new "Star" icon on the customer’s payment profile.

Key Benefits:

  • Easy Updates: Quickly swap default payment methods (like switching from a bank account to a new credit card) without needing to delete the original payment type.

  • Smarter Setup: Any changes made to the default Autopay method will automatically apply to all future recurring invoices you create for that customer.

  • Stable Billing: Your existing recurring invoices will remain unchanged, ensuring your current billing cycles continue exactly as planned.

Edit Customer and Site Directly from Rental and Job Forms

You can now edit Customer and Site directly from the rental and job forms. With new Edit Customer and Edit Site options available once a customer and site are selected, you no longer need to navigate away to make updates - helping you keep information accurate without creating duplicate records.

Session Expired Redirect

We have updated the login process to help you pick up exactly where you left off. If your session expires while you're working, logging back in will now automatically return you to your previous page instead of the dashboard. This ensures a faster, more continuous workflow without the need to navigate back through the system to find your active task.

April Bug Fixes

Released the week of 4/30/26 👇

Rentals with Deliveries past 2 weeks from today (Yard Locations Enabled Customers Only): We fixed an issue that was causing errors when selecting a delivery job date past 2 weeks from today without a pickup job.

Address Preview Suggestions: We improved address auto-fill for Google-suggested addresses so the City field is populated more accurately. In cases where Google doesn’t provide a city in its underlying address components, the City may still need to be manually adjusted.

Released the week of 4/27/26 👇

Invalid Product Availability Banner (Yard Locations Enabled Customers Only): We fixed an issue that was showing the "Invalid Product Availability" alerts inaccurately, it is now fixed both on the dashboard and on the rental details page. Individual rentals will now show the alert 2 weeks prior to the delivery or pickup job causing the invalid product.

Inventory Availability shown on the Create Rental's page(Yard Locations Enabled Customers Only): We fixed an issue where the available inventory shown when creating a delivery job only considered current days availability, it will now consider future jobs when no pickup date is selected.

Emailing Receipts in Closed Periods: We have updated user permissions to ensure that non-Admin users can email paid receipts even if they belong to a closed accounting period. Previously, the system would block this action with a "cannot modify" error. This update allows your team to continue sending necessary documentation to customers without needing to reopen past periods or rely on an Admin.

Product Page Availability (ONLY for Accounts with Yard Locations Enabled): Fixed an issue where the Products & Rentals inventory page was displaying outdated availability stats for customers with multi-yard enabled. Inventory levels now correctly match the availability grid, ensuring accurate tracking across all locations.

Standard Reports Now Open in the Correct View: We fixed an issue where standard reports were opening in an unintended “explore” more, showing additional editing options that could not be saved.

Inconsistent Emoji Handling Prevents Editing Existing Job Types: We addressed an issue where certain emojis could prevent Job Types from being edited.

Duplicate Credit Memo Prevention: We updated our advance billing logic to prevent the creation of duplicate credit memos, which happened in rare cases during rapid job completions. The system now ensures that only a single, unique credit memo is generated when a job is finished, keeping your customer balances and financial records accurate.

Mobile Offline Mode not capturing completed jobs: We fixed an issue that was impacting some drivers synching their completed jobs. Please update your mobile app to 9.6.2 to get the latest updates.

Released the week of 4/14/26 👇

Batch Billing Improvements: We’ve improved the reliability of Batch Billing previews to ensure invoice counts remain consistent and accurate, even for large billing cycles. This update provides immediate stabilization while we continue working on long-term, scalable enhancements to further optimize your billing experience.

Voided Payment Cleanup: Fixed an issue where voided payments could remain linked to invoices, appear as available credit, and still be editable or applied to invoices. After voiding, payments will now be properly unlinked and locked down - they'll no longer show up as usable credit or be editable.

Transfer Job Types: Transfer jobs types will now be categorized as "default" job types, deleting and/or deactivating will not be allowed.

Transferring from Deactivated Yards (ONLY for Accounts with Yard Locations Enabled): We have improved managing deactivated yards by enabling you to transfer products out of deactivated yards into active yards. This will help make sure you update all of your active yards with the correct products.

Inventory Availability Yard Filter (ONLY for Accounts with Yard Locations Enabled): We have resolved an issue where some inventory adjustments were not appearing when filtering by yard in availability table.

Product Audit Log for Bulk Products (ONLY for Accounts with Yard Locations Enabled): We fixed an issue that was preventing from seeing a product audit log for bulk product updates.

Route Optimization Starting at First Job (ONLY for Accounts with Yard Locations Enabled): We fixed an issue that was preventing customers from using the "First Job" option for route optimization when a yard was associated to the first job.

Current Customer Now Clears After Item Pickup: We’ve fixed an issue where the current customer field on item details was not clearing after an item was picked up from a rental.

Released the week of 4/7/26 👇

Allowing Deletion of Unlinked Invoices: We have updated the invoice deletion process to ensure that once a payment is unapplied, the invoice can be deleted as expected. Previously, if a refund was associated with that payment, a hidden link would occasionally prevent the invoice from being removed. This update ensures that unlinking a payment fully clears the invoice's history, allowing you to manage your billing records without obstruction.

Note: For the most accurate audit trail and financial reporting, we recommend using the Void functionality rather than deleting invoices whenever possible.

Payment token storage improvement: Fixed an issue where card expiration dates were not included when storing payment tokens with our payment processor. This could cause delays when transferring payment methods between accounts during ownership changes. Expiration dates are now correctly stored, ensuring smoother account transitions.

Dispatcher Role Unable to Print Driver Daily Route Sheets: Dispatchers can now print route sheets on schedule views where before they could only "Print service tickets" from the day view. These permissions are "View Job" which means it will apply to technicians as well. Technicians will now have the "Print Daily Route Sheet" button for themself where before they only had the "Print service tickets" button.

March Enhancements

Released the week of 3/31/26 👇

New Offline Mode in Android Mobile App

We’ve upgraded the ServiceCore mobile app so drivers can reliably complete work even in areas with poor or no signal. New Offline Mode in Android app version 9.6.0, automatically queues changes when connectivity is low, then syncs them when a stronger connection is available—helping you capture accurate job and inventory data without extra effort from drivers.

With this release, we are conducting a phased rollout. The release will gradually become available to all Android users over the course of the week with iOS soon to come.

Septic – Automated Email Reminders

We’ve introduced Automatic Message Reminders to help septic businesses stay on top of long-term maintenance reminders without manual spreadsheets or one‑off emails. This feature lets you create messaging automations that schedule follow‑up emails after jobs are completed, so you can drive more repeat business with less admin work.

What's New:

  • Trigger Future Messages with job types
  • Select your own timelines after job completion
  • Manage all of your Scheduled Emails through our new 'Upcoming Emails' List
  • Quickly find any Upcoming Emails per customer in the Customer Details page

Click here for more information on how to get started.

Switch Between Companies in the Customer Portal

Customers using the Customer Portal can now easily switch between multiple companies tied to the same email address. You can select a company at login or switch between companies at any time from the left-hand menu in the portal.

PO Number Added to Estimates

You can now add a PO Number to estimates under Estimate Info. The PO Number will carry through when creating a Job, Rental, or Invoice from the estimate and will also appear on the Estimate PDF, helping you keep records consistent across your workflow.

Automatic Customer Contact Sync for Recurring Invoices

We have updated recurring invoice templates to ensure customer contact information stays in sync automatically. You can now set templates to "inherit" contacts from customer details, so when you update a customer’s email on their profile, those changes immediately flow through to all associated recurring templates and future invoices.

Key Details:

  • Automatic Enrollment: To save you time, the system will automatically enable this sync for any existing template where the contacts already match the main customer profile.

  • Preserved Customization: If a template is currently set to a different contact (such as a specific site contact), the system will respect that unique setup and will not change it.

  • Streamlined Billing: This update eliminates the need to manually edit individual templates when a customer’s billing contact changes, ensuring your invoices always reach the right person.

High-Precision Tax Support

You can now enter tax rates with up to five decimal places (e.g., 8.12345%) to perfectly match state and local tax requirements and your accounting software. This will not change anything about how taxes get calculated, so your totals are always 100% accurate. While we’ve increased the precision, we’ll continue to hide unnecessary zeros to keep your invoices easy to read.

Send Estimates for Online Approval with Terms & Conditions

You can now send estimates to customers and allow them to review and approve them online. When you email an estimate, the customer receives an email with a link to view the estimate online. From there, they can review the details, enter their name, and approve the estimate online.

Pre-approved.png

Once approved, ServiceCore will automatically:

  • Update the estimate stage to Approved
  • Record who approved the estimate
  • Record the date and time of approval
  • Notify the estimate owner (or creator if no owner is assigned), as well as the contacts on the estimate

Require Customers to Agree to Terms & Conditions

You can now upload your Terms & Conditions and require customers to agree before approving an estimate.

To add Terms & Conditions: Settings > Company Preferences > Estimates > Upload Terms & Conditions

Settings.png

Customers will see a link to download your Terms & Conditions and must confirm they agree before approving the estimate.

Quickly Find Approved Estimates

Once approved, estimates can be easily identified and filtered by stage Approved on the Estimates page, so your team can move forward with scheduling or creating a job.

Estimates Totals and Dashboard Income Chart Updates

We’ve made updates to improve how Estimate are reflected across ServiceCore:
  • Estimates have been removed from the Dashboard Income Chart, so the blue “Estimates” bar and legend will no longer appear here
  • The Estimates badges on the Customers Details > Accounting tab and the main Account page now display “Legacy & New”
  • A new tooltip has been added on the new Estimates list page to add clarity that: All totals and amounts are related to New Estimates only.
These changes help ensure better visibility into estimate totals.

Automatic Sync for Recurring Invoice Messages

We have upgraded how invoice messages work on recurring templates to ensure your invoice messaging stays up to date automatically. Instead of needing to update each existing recurring invoice template every time you change your invoice message, recurring templates can now be synced directly to your company’s default settings.

What’s New:

  • "Use Default" Setting: You now have the option to set recurring templates to "Use Default Invoice Message." When this is selected, any future changes you make in Company Settings will automatically flow through to your recurring templates and all invoices generated from them.

  • Smart Migration: All existing templates will be set to this new "Use Default" mode automatically. Don't worry—if you currently have a custom message on a specific template, we’ve preserved it so your unique messaging remains intact. However, if you want to keep your custom message, be sure to uncheck the "Use Default" box on the recurring template before you save any changes to it!

  • Flexible Customization: You still have the power to override the default. If a specific customer requires a unique message, simply untick the default option on that template to keep their messaging separate from your global updates.

Photo Preview and Download Buttons for Attachments on Customers/Sites/Jobs

Photo attachments on customers, sites, and jobs can now be viewed without needing to open in a new tab. This modal navigates with left/right arrow keys and "esc" to close. There is also now a new download button to download directly without needing to click the link and a "View Gallery' button to view all of your attachments. This should make it easier to quickly view your attachments.

March Bug Fixes

Released the week of 3/31/26 👇

GPS Data Not Consistently Updating with Barcode Scans: we fixed an issue that was causing inconsistent GPS updates when barcode scanning

Serial Numbers Issues Synching when Multiple Exchange Jobs are Scheduled: we fixed an issue that was causing incorrect serial numbers from appearing on rentals after completing an exchange job.

"Not enough inventory" warning when Overselling Inventory: We fixed an issue that was causing customers to not submit rentals when overselling.

Re-associating inventory when picking up and servicing units: We fixed an issue that was causing to re-associate units if a service job was completed after a pickup job for those units.

Payment Notification Emails Sent to Correct Recipients: We fixed an issue where payment notification emails (such as declines and chargebacks) were being sent to customers instead of your internal team. These emails are now correctly sent to the appropriate billing, manager, and owner users, ensuring the right people are notified of payment issues.

Final Arrears Invoice Email Update: We have updated the email workflow for final arrears invoices for customers with a "Print" billing preference. Now, when a final pickup is scheduled and the invoice is generated, the PDF is automatically emailed to the user who scheduled the final pickup job. This ensures your team has immediate access to the document for your internal records or mailing process.

Price Book Badge Update We updated the "Price books Rate" badge on line items to only show when a unique, non-standard rate is applied. Previously, the badge sometimes appeared even if your Price book rate was the same as your standard rate. This change makes it easier to spot at a glance when special pricing is actually being used.

Released the week of 3/24/26 👇

Recurring Invoice Message with No Default: We fixed an issue where users could not set a template-specific default message if there was no company-level default invoice message set up. Now, the checkbox to use or not use the default invoice message will show even if there is no company-level default message set. This will allow users with no default message to specify the template's custom message.

Itemized Inventory & Editing a job after it has been completed: We fixed an issue where editing a job after completion would remove the itemized inventory associations. Now, when you "Edit Job," the itemized inventory linked to the rental remains unchanged, ensuring accurate tracking of serial numbers.

Released the week of 3/17/26 👇

Customer Portal Sites Now Properly Linked to Customers: We fixed an issue where sites created from Customer Portal requests or estimates were missing the Primary Customer assignment. Although the site was created and linked to the customer, the Primary Customer field remained blank. This caused the Site Details page to be inaccessible and could prevent the site from syncing to QuickBooks Online for customers using item-based syncing.

Search from Page 2+ on List Views: We resolved an issue on multiple list views where you would error out if searching from page 2+.

Emojis Removed from Printed Route Sheets and Service Tickets: Emojis have been removed from Job Types, System Types, and Destinations on printed route sheets and service tickets. Previously, these emojis could appear incorrectly when printed. This update ensures printed documents display cleanly and consistently.

Validation Added for Unsupported Emojis: We’ve added validation to alert users when unsupported emojis are entered in certain fields. Previously, some emojis could cause records to be saved with missing or blank names. This update helps ensure entries are saved correctly and prevents data issues.

Web app Accessed via Mobile Browser Crashing: Fixed an issue where accessing the map view via a mobile browser would cause crashes or logouts.

Cleaner Currency Inputs: We fixed an issue where clearing a currency field could show the word “undefined.” Now, the field simply clears as expected, making forms easier to read and work with.

Released the week of 3/10/26 👇

Real-Time Customer Balance Updates: We have resolved a display issue where a customer’s total open balance would occasionally fail to update immediately after applying a Credit Memo. Now, when you apply a credit to clear an invoice, the updated balance will reflect across the entire customer profile instantly, ensuring your team always sees accurate, up-to-the-minute financial data.

Released the week of 3/3/26 👇

Accurate Billing for Multi-Month Rental Rates: We have fixed an issue where unit quantities were displaying incorrectly on one-time invoices for rentals using multi-month billing cycles (such as quarterly or bi-annual billing). This update ensures that whether you are billing for one month or six, your unit counts and totals will be calculated accurately based on your rental rates.

New Safeguards for Closed Accounting Periods: We have introduced new guardrails to protect your finalized financial data. The system now checks user permissions and accounting settings when you create recurring templates or run batch billing.

  • What’s Changing:
    • Restricted Back-Billing: Users without permission to edit closed periods will no longer be able to create recurring templates or invoices with dates that fall within a closed period.
Authorized Overrides: Authorized users will receive a warning notification when attempting to bill into a closed period, ensuring changes are intentional.
    • Batch Billing Updates: To prevent accidental shifts in your closed books, "catch up" invoices for past periods must now be generated manually by an authorized user rather than through batch billing.
  • Please Note:
    • Accrual Reporting: If a recurring start date is in an open period but the actual service dates fall within a closed period, this may still impact your closed-period accrual reporting.
    • Pending Transactions: If you run batch billing to create the invoice previews before a month-end close but the actual invoices are not saved until after the period is closed, this may impact your closed-period revenue.

Schedule Summaries in Day View

On the schedule day view, route summary values of 0 now appear in light gray. This makes it easier to visually identify drivers who have pickups, deliveries, or services assigned.

Bulk Rental Tool Update: Add Multiple Days to Weekly Repeat Service

You can now set weekly repeat rental services in the Bulk Rental Tool to occur on more than one day per week (for example, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Once you select a weekly repeat series, the schedule clearly shows the frequency, such as “Every X week M/T/W/Th/F/Sa/Su,” so it’s easier to confirm that recurring service jobs are set up correctly without extra manual work.

Smarter Recurring Billing Setup

We’ve updated recurring invoice templates to take the guesswork out of choosing a start date. Now, when you switch between Advance and Arrears billing or change your billing interval, the Start Date will automatically update to ensure your customers are billed accurately for their service period.

What’s New:
  • Auto-Calculated Start Dates: The system now does the math for you, setting the correct first invoice date based on your delivery and billing preferences.
  • Manual Control: You can still manually override any date; the system will simply step out of the way once you make a manual change.
  • Helpful Tooltips: A new tooltip on the Start Date field clarifies exactly when your customer will receive their first invoice. New text below the Start Date field will remind you when the products are scheduled to be delivered.
  • Reset Option: Quickly revert to standard settings with the new "Reset to Default" button.

New Guardrails for Weight + Inactivity Automations

To help ensure your automated fees are set up accurately, we’ve added new validation rules for weight overage and inactivity fee configurations. The system will now prevent you from using the same service as the 'trigger' as for the weight or inactivity charge. This will help you avoid duplicate entries and ensure your invoices remain clear and professional for your customers.

Mobile app version 9.5.7

Our new mobile app version 9.5.7 is live on both iOS and Android.

Serial Numbers On Rentals: We made an update to the selection of serial numbers when completing a job via mobile app. Drivers will now see an identifier in the inventory list when selecting a serial number manually.

The serial number will show "On a rental" if its part of another rental.  Also, a warning will appear if they still select that serial number. We will add a drivers note with the following “Serial #xxx, has been added to this service job, but was previously delivered to Rental #xxx. Please update accordingly.” This will help you identify when there may be a discrepancy on location of serial numbers.

Released the week of 2/3/26 👇

Inactivity Fees for Standard Invoices

Inactivity fees (most common in roll-off billing) can now be set up to get automatically added to standard, one-time invoices. If a rental remains on-site past your configured grace period without a haul job, the system will automatically add your inactivity fee, based on your automation setup, on your manually generated invoices.

Inventory Name on Rentals Now Links to Item Details

For users with Assistant Manager permissions and above, the inventory name on a rental is now clickable and links directly to the item detail view. This makes it easier to quickly access an item’s details without needing to navigate to the items list and search for the device. Additionally, multiple unknown serial number rows on rentals will now display as one row with a single quantity.

February Bug Fixes

Released the week of 2/24/26 👇

Customer Status No Longer Updates to Paid When Creating an Estimate: We fixed an issue where creating an estimate with a service fee for a newly added customer automatically updated the customer’s status to Paid, even though no invoice or payment had been recorded. Creating or saving an estimate will no longer impact a customer’s payment status. Customers will remain in New status until an invoice is created and payment activity occurs.

Improved Precision for Price Book Rates: To ensure complete billing accuracy, we’ve updated our Price Books to support rates with up to three decimal places. This prevents the system from rounding small unit rates—such as those used for weight or volume—ensuring your totals are calculated precisely as intended.

Technician Permission: We have updated our mobile and web permissions to ensure that Technician roles are strictly limited to their assigned work. This update ensures that "Technician" and "Tech - Billing" users can only view and manage the specific jobs assigned to them, maintaining better control over your team's daily schedule.

Released the week of 2/17/26 👇

Transfer Jobs Completed via Mobile App: We fixed an issue that was impacting completing transfer pickup and delivery jobs in the mobile app. Please update the mobile app version to 9.5.8 (iOS and Android).

Improved QuickBooks Online Sync Reliability Release Date: We’ve optimized the synchronization process between ServiceCore and QuickBooks Online to ensure credit memos and payments transfer more reliably. By refining the order in which these records sync, we’ve eliminated "Missing Entity" errors, ensuring your financial data stays accurate without requiring manual re-syncs.

When you receive an invoice or credit memo email, you will now see a breakdown of individual tax rates directly in the email body. Mobile App in Spanish

The ServiceCore mobile app will now support Spanish. In the mobile app menu, drivers will now see a 'Language' dropdown with both ‘English’ and ‘Spanish’ as an option. If they select Spanish all of the non-office entered data will show in Spanish.

TIP: Please make sure you are on 9.5.4 or higher mobile app version to see this new option.

Route Optimization: Route Options Fastest or Shortest

We have added a new option for route optimization that will enable you to choose between the fastest route, which will minimize drive time or shortest route, which will minimize total miles. We will automatically default to the fastest route, which is what the current route optimization defaults to. This will enable you to customize what you would like each route optimized for.

Note: An accurate Departure Time allows the optimization to properly order stops based on their constraints (Time Windows and Service Duration.) It also helps to provide more efficient routes by taking real-time and historical traffic patterns into account.

Product Availability Chart Color Gradient

We have made an update to the colors of the availability chart, positive numbers will now display in a shade of green proportional to the other days displayed. The higher the availability count the darker the green, the lower the availability count the lighter the green. Negative numbers will now display in yellow. This should help you quickly identify how availability is moving up and down across the 2 weeks.

Better Visibility for Accounting Period Controls

We've added a new permission to make it clearer who has ability to change transactions from a closed accounting period. Previously managed under the "Invoice History" permission, this specific access now has its own line in your permission grid. This update ensures that transaction date restrictions across the platform are fully aligned with your team’s assigned roles. We’ve automatically mapped this new permission, "Closed Accounting Period", to the roles that already had it, so all roles will continue to have the same editing capabilities they’ve always had.

Site Tax Exemption Updates: We have updated our invoicing to ensure that site-level tax exemptions are always prioritized. Improved Billing Accuracy for Evening Deliveries: We have updated our recurring billing logic to ensure rental charges are accurately calculated for deliveries completed in the evening. This update ensures that jobs completed after 8 PM EST are correctly attributed to the actual day of service, allowing your invoices to reflect the correct totals automatically.

Recurring Invoice Navigation Update: We have improved the navigation flow when managing recurring invoices. Saving changes to a recurring template will now keep you on the customer’s recurring invoice page, allowing you to continue your work without unnecessary redirects to the main dashboard.

Estimates Page Not Accessible for Customers Without Transactions: We fixed an issue where companies without transactions were unable to access the Estimate page or create new estimates.

Country Dropdown Resorted in Company Mailing Address: We fixed an issue where the Country dropdown was missing from the mailing address section in company settings.

Processed Refund Data Integrity: To ensure your records accurately reflect your financial transactions, core details for refunds handled through a payment processor—such as Amount, Date, Customer, and Method—are now finalized once processed. This update prevents manual edits to these fields, ensuring your reports always remain perfectly synced with your payment provider.

Aging Report Statement Accuracy: Customer statements now automatically include all open invoices, including those issued on the same day. This ensures your Current Due totals always reflect a complete and up-to-date balance for your customers.

Recurring Invoice and Product Quantity Consistency: We corrected an issue that was throwing off the inventory quantity on recurring invoice templates when exchange jobs were completed with a delivery quantity of at least 1, and a pickup quantity of 0. The recurring invoice template will now properly capture this exchange scenario.

Order of Line Items on Invoices: We corrected an issue that was leading to line items getting added to invoices (generated from recurring invoice templates) in a different order than they had historically. All line items will now populate on invoices as they historically have. The rental rates and template service line items will show first, and then the services related to jobs in order.

Bulk Reassign Failures During Late Evening Hours: We corrected an issue that was causing job reassignments that included updates to “This and Following” jobs to revert the reassignment.

Applying updated dates to “This Job and Following” job series not updating the series: We corrected an issue impacting recalculating jobs dates in a series when updating the date of a job in a recurring job series and choosing to apply the change to “this job and all following ‘Scheduled’ jobs". As a reminder, to update a series please update the 'Repeat Job Schedule' within a job in the series and apply changes to This and Following.

Copying a Completed Job with Inventory: We corrected an issue that was causing the inventory section to not display correctly, when copying a completed job with inventory.

Customer Notes rendering on driver’s daily route sheets: We’ve removed the reference to customer notes in the daily route sheet, customer notes should never display in the daily route sheet.
